Vacation Rental Description

	This newly built 4-bedroom/2-bath well appointed house sleeps 8 and takes its cues 
from the lodges of the past.  A gently curving drive through the woods leads to the home, 
which sits on a private 4.5 acre lot. 

The attractive exterior is Adirondack style live edge siding, complimented by live cedar 
posts supporting a large entry porch. The interior is complete with modern appliances and 
conveniences such as a two person jetted tub, yet retains a link to the past with classic 
post and beam details in live maple and a soaring stonewall defining the sunny living area. 
A screened porch nestled in the woods is the perfect spot to start your day with coffee and 
end it with sunsets through the trees.

Activities and Attractions

Centrally located in Somesville the home offers easy access to all of Mount Desert Island’s 
activities, including canoeing/kayaking and swimming at Long Pond, the largest fresh 
water pond on the Island, less than a five-minute walk away.  Or spend you days on the 
grassy front lawn, perfect for badminton or whiffleball games, watching butterflies in 
the wildflower field, or playing in the small stream that runs past the house.  All town's 
and villages on Mount Desert Island are close at hand.  Bar Harbor- 10 min, Southwest 
Harbor- 5 min, Northeast Harbor- 10 min, and Ellsworth- 10 min.  

Vacation Rental Rates

May- $1350 per week
June- $1750 
July- $2600 
Aug- $2850 
Sept- $1550 
After Sept 16- $1350

The following is our rental process:

Step 1: The phone call
	Give us a call regarding the house you are interested in.  We will check availability, 
answer any questions you might have, make sure the house is a good fit for your needs.  
To hold the reservation, we will need a credit card number.

Step 2: The lease
	We will send you a lease and tenant information form.  You will return these with a 
security deposit, and first rental deposit. Once received, we will send you a reservation 
letter and copy of your signed lease.

Step 3: Final confirmation
	Thirty days before your arrival, your second rental deposit is due.  Once received, we 
will send you a final confirmation letter including a map with directions to the house and 
key location.  

Step 4: Security deposit returned
Within two weeks following the end of your rental, we will send you your security deposit 
(minus any charges for damage, outstanding bills, excessive cleaning) and a quality survey 
form.  

The following is our cancellation policy: 
	Should the Lessee be unable to occupy the premises for any reason, except the fault 
of the Lessor, the Lessor will keep all payments and the Lessee will be liable for the 
remainder of the rent due.  If the Lessor is able to rent the premises for the same period of 
time covered by the lease to another tenant, Lessee with be refunded payments less a 15% 
of rental cost booking fee.
