Pineapple Ridge is a nature lover’s Eden, one block from scenic Indian River Lagoon and one block from the Savannas State Preserve.  It sits on an old pineapple plantation on the ancient Atlantic Coastal Ridge (today grassy); therefore its name.  See the occasional sandhill crane or gopher tortoise stroll through the front lawn.  Wildlife enthusiasts and photographers will take pleasure in miles of trails and opportunities for hiking, bicycling, canoeing, fishing.  Beach lovers will enjoy nearby beautiful sandy beaches that have been rated among the top in the country.  Several golf clubs are close by.
