Mountain Top Overlook in Murphy

Imagine sitting by a cozy crackling fire gazing out across endless blue montain ridges that fade into the distance. This high mountaintop elevation provides both privacy and comfort with easy access via well maintained gravel roads.  This home is located on two acres of land and at an elevation of 2600 foot. The cabin is very private and is located on its own private road surrounded by beautiful hardwood forest and accentuated with outstanding 40 mile views to both the North and the West.

Our mission is to pamper you with comfort and make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Over the years we have stayed in many mountain cabins and chalets only to be let down in one way or another. So it is with those thoughts in mind that we have tried to provide everything possible to make your stay the most comfortable and enjoyable.  

The home itself has the feel of a mountain chalet with high ceilings, plenty of glass and a loft bedroom. Each bedroom has its own full bathroom and walkin closet.  The home can comfortably sleep six with a King pillowtop, a comfortable queen, and a queen sleeper with innerspring mattress in the living area. We have also provided new overstuffed plush furniture in the living area and comfortable chairs on the deck. Gliders for your rocking pleasure complete the furnishings. Another unique touch is the swinging chair for two on the covered deck looking west.

Whether you want to relax, hike, fish, golf, gamble, shop, horse back ride, take a scenic train ride or white water raft there is something for everyone within close proximity. White water rafting is king in both Ocoee river and the Natahala river and both are within 25 miles. Scenic train excursions can be caught in Blue Ridge Georgia, about a 25 minute drive. Horseback riding in Hayesville, we recommend Chunky Gals Riding Stable about a 25 minute ride. The fly fishing and mountain waterfall vistas are incredible outside Andrews a short 15 mile ride.  Wayah Road within 15 miles of the cabin offers one of the most sought after drives in the area and also offers the best fly fishing with beautiful waterfalls and scenic vistas.

Rates are for 2 couples, additional fees apply for extra guests.  Maximum of 6 occupants. 

Refundable $250 security deposit.  Lodging is not fully reserved until security deposit is received. 

Caretaker located nearby in the area.  Deception with the number of people staying or size of pets will result in loss of security deposit. 

Cancellation policy:  Fully refundable deposit if stay is cancelled within 2 weeks of arrival date.  Check-in is usually 3 p.m.  Check-out is around 11 a.m.  We are flexible to arrival and departure times if we do not have guests scheduledto be in the cabin immediatley before or after your stay.

Seasonal and Holiday rates changes may apply due to occupancy demand and seasonal heating and cooling.

Small dogs are welcome if housebroken. We love little four legged critters too!
