vacation rental description
The Last House on the Right - No need for Beach Parking Permit here! Southfacing former year-round residence in the Old House Landing area. Very private, no next-door neighbors; town land to east and west, Three Mile Harbor to the south. Central gas fireplace flanked by sliding glass doors lead out to a large south-facing deck with Weber Genesis 210 gas grill, hexagonal glass top table with 6 sling chairs and 2 lounge chairs. Bistro set on west-facing deck. Additional picnic table and benches under deck to take advantage of the shade. Grab a cup of coffee in the morning, sit outside and watch the sunrise, the boats on the harbor, rabbits frolic on the lawn and deer as they walk through the dunes. From the side entrance door, the harbor shoreline is @300' (new raised walk between the dunes for 2013, stepping stones that submerge at high tide between the furthest dune and the shore). The bay shoreline is @370' (directly across the street, shared walking rights - we have access to bay, they have access to harbor). Anchor your boat in front of the house.
Open living area has full-size sofa bed, 2 recliners, coffee table, 2 end tables, 32" flat panel TV with separate DVD player and dry sink with radio/lp/cd/cassette player. Dining table seats 6 comfortably as is (4 side chairs, additional folding chairs in the closet, additional table leaves under china cabinet). Fully equipped galley style kitchen with pass-over counter to dining area. Flat surface electric range with self-cleaning oven, countertop microwave.
Sleeps 4 comfortably, 6 with sofabed in living room. Master bedroom has King bed with Queen Anne style cherry furniture (low dresser with mirror above, highboy with TV on top and 2 end table/night stands), suit valet, loveseat, @10' closet with small dresser inside for shoes. Second bedroom has 2 twin beds (we can combine for a short king bed if needed) with maple dresser between them, maple student desk with chair plus TV and VCR on stand (along with cable modem and WIFI router; next to desk in case you aren't wireless) in @8' closet. Hall closet has linens, extra pillows, reusable shopping bags and vacuum. Full bath with Swanstone tub surround and patterned shower doors for privacy. Interior staircase to access full size washer and dryer in basement. Basement has room to play on rainy days and walk-out door so you can put your bicycles away if you bring them.
Pets on approval.
Please note: The Cable TV & internet are currently on and will be turned off mid-November until mid to late April and we will not be renting - the weather is just a little bit too rough and windy to rent at the beach.
