Spectacular setting!! Located on the beautiful south shore of Lake Superior, our Getaway Cabin is a perfect retreat for couples, families, or a girls' weekend. Newly renovated, the cabin has all the comforts of home; a well-appointed kitchen, cozy wood burning stove, loft bedrooms with stunning views of the lake, and a spacious two-level deck. Nearby, the quaint village of Cornucopia with its restaurants and shops awaits your visit. Explore the nearby sandy beaches, (two beautiful beaches within 2-3 miles), the hiking & ski trails, and watch the amazing sunsets over the harbor. As part of the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore, there is much to see and do. Rent or bring your kayak to Meyer's Beach. Paddle out to explore the spectacular sea caves carved into the sandstone by the forces of Lake Superior. Check them out in the winter and see the massive ice formations. Travel to nearby Bayfield where you can charter a sailboat or take the ferry to Madeline Island for more sightseeing and outdoor adventures. Enjoy!
Our family purchased this cabin after years of vacationing on the south shore of Lake Superior. We spent many months renovating the cabin to make it our second home. We hope that you enjoy it as much as we do and treat it kindly.
