Luxury Log Cabin in La Porte

This 4000 square foot real, hand-crafted log cabin will accommodate your family vacation, reunion, anniversary or honeymoon.  It is located in the secluded but once booming gold rush town of La Porte in what is known as "the lost Sierras"

The living room boasts a modern entertainment system including a 60" flat screen TV, satellite service, a Playstation 3, Wii and an extensive collection of DVD movies.  The large gourmet kitchen with granite counter tops provides loads of workspace and is fully outfitted with all amenities including coffeemaker, coffee, spices, baking goods, cookware and dishes.  The large deck outside the kitchen has space for eating as well as a BBQ for your enjoyment (access in summer only).  There are 5 bedrooms and a loft that includes 17 beds fully linened.  Once bedroom boasts a triple, side-by-side queen handmade log bunk bed that sleep 12.  Each bathroom is stocked with towels, soap and shampoo.  The game cupboard will keep you and your family entertained for hours during summer evenings or snowy days.

This cabin is wonderland all year round. 

In the summer boating, fishing, kayaking and swimming can be enjoyed on Little Grass Valley Lake located just 5 miles away.   There are extensive OHV trails in the area for those that love to ATV or motor cross.  If you are a history buff, old gold mining sites surround La Porte.  Most buildings are gone, but old dirt roads will take you to a few old cemeteries that can run the imagination wild with ghost stories of the gold rush.   

For the winter sport enthusiast the cabin is located on the first ski hill in California (non-operating now) and is great fun for sledding, snowshoeing and cross country skiing.  There are over 80 miles of open, groomed snowmobile trails to take on with stocked warming huts along the trail to take a rest and warm up.
