Enjoy the Berkshires at the height of leaf season. Two and a half hour drive from Boston, three hours from New York.

Large country house with lawns, gardens, stone walls, and woods. Quiet location five minutes by car from shops, restaurants, and theaters of Great Barrington. Elegant and comfortable.

Available from Thursday October 8 through Wednesday October 21. Adults and older children only. NO SMOKING. NO PETS.

First floor: living room, dining room, complete gourmet kitchen with granite counters and sink, 6-burner gas stove, and dishwasher. Small marble-tiled bath with shower. French doors open to a screened porch with sitting and dining areas, a rear deck, and kitchen herb garden. There is a book-lined library with a daybed on the first floor. Living room has Bose stereo, VCR and DVD players, and a Steinway upright piano. Laundry room with top-of-the-line washer and dryer.

Second floor: three bedrooms, two with queen four-poster beds, one with double bed. Two marble full baths, each with bath/shower PLUS marble spa room with sauna, jacuzzi bathtub, and open glassed shower with views of valley and hills

 Third floor loft retreat with distant mountain views and hardwood floors. Used as a yoga / meditation room.

Three bicycles available. Linens and towels provided. There is a flat-screen TV with DVD and VHS but no cable. House has wireless broadband service and an internal wireless network.

October foliage in the Berkshires attracts visitors from all over the world. The roads around the house are perfect biking roads, attracting bike enthusiasts and bike tours. perfect mix of hills and flats, gorgeous scenery, low traffic. Particularly beautiful in fall foliage season.

House is available for 2 weeks only, from Thursday October 8 through Wednesday October 21. One week rental is possible - contact me and let me know your plans! We'll try to work it out.
