Pehaltun Villas in Bacalar

Pehaltun Villas – is a large, lakeside property two kilometers North of Bacalar – offering guests a choice of three private accommodations, each of which highlights in its own way the lake’s incredible beauty and tranquility. The gated property is rich with fruit trees, flowers, and birdlife.

The three rental Villas are separate and each provides an enchanting outpost for observing and enjoying the beautiful Laguna Bacalar. A full-time groundskeeper/guard keeps the property well-maintained and secure. The hardwood dock with palapa roof allows visitors to swim, kayak, sun, or just hang out in the hammocks. Bird-watching is superb and guests can enjoy just strolling the property or relaxing with a book, or one of the DVDs from the shared library at the main house.

The Casita Villa is perfect for guests that want more than a regular hotel room can offer them on their vacation.

Casita is similar to a studio apartment, with a small kitchenette area, private in-suite tiled Bathroom with large size walk-in Shower, One queen size bed and a day bed. Large windows for the great view and gentle breezes from the lagoon. Day bed can easily convert to 2 single beds that's great for children.

Small fridge, Coffee maker, 1 electric burner, and microwave to be able to have your own snacks and drinks. A/C is available, 1 Ceiling fan, Tiled floors, Concrete roof, Large screened windows, and Patio overlooking the Lagoon.

The Palapa Villa is an open loft style space, with a king-size bed in the upper loft area, accessed by the Wrought Iron circular stairs.

The Lower area is an open kitchen with Coffee maker, Full-size Fridge, small 2 top burner, Microwave, sitting area, with Private in-suite Tiled Bathroom with large couple size walk-in Shower. Large windows overlook your patio, the dock, and you have a fantastic view of the lagoon. A daybed in the lower setting area converts easily to 2 single beds for additional guests, or children. No A/C. 1 Ceiling Fan, with Screened door and windows. Tile floors, Palapa Roof

Perfect for guests that like to do some of their own simple meal planning, and have snacks available. Enjoy your patio for meals, drinks, and relaxing, seeing the beauty of the Lagoon, or walk down to the dock to relax in a hammock and swim in the Lagoon.

The Cabana Villa is the most private of our three Villas. Seperate bedroom with one queen bed, and Private in-suite Tiled Bathroom with large walk-in couples size Shower. Main area is a combined kitchen, center island dining, with living room.

On the edge of the property with a separate driveway. Just steps to the water from the large wraparound tile patio. The patio is shaded by many large trees making a perfect spot for having meals, or relaxing reading a book. The good size kitchen with Coffee maker, Large Fridge, Gas stove and oven, Microwave, is perfect for guests that like to be able to make their own meals while on vacation. A secluded hideaway to enjoy the water and sunbathe on the large patio.

1 Queen size bed, & 1 inflatable Queen bed if needed. A/C is available in the bedroom. 2 Ceiling Fans, and Large screened windows. Tile floors. Bedroom and bathroom is concrete roof. Kitchen and living area is Palapa roof.

Please note: That the Cabana is accessed from about 35 steps down the hill, this is it's beauty and seclusion, but not recommended for guests that many steps may be an issue.

All our Villas have:

Electric, fresh hot and cold water, private bathroom with large couple-size showers, quality bed linens and towels. Kitchen essentials (glasses, plates, silverware, pots & pans, kitchen towels, dish soap, etc.), coffee maker, fridge, microwave. TV with DVD player (A Large selection of DVD's and Books are available at the main house). Each with a large patio facing the lagoon.

A/C is available in the Cabana & Casita, for an additional charge of $10 USD per night.

Free Wireless Internet access is available in the Casita & Palapa if you bring your own laptop to use. Wireless does not reach to the Cabana but you can use the patio at the main house anytime.

Our Palapa roofed dock, perfect for being in the shade, or if you want to sunbathe, and is for all our guests to use and enjoy. The dock has Hammocks to relax, read, or nap in, and Lounges that can be easily moved from the shade or sun. Two one-seat Kayaks are available at no charge to explore the Lagoon.

Laguna Bacalar is one of the world's most beautiful lakes and offers a variety of nature-oriented activities, plus water sports like swimming, snorkeling, scuba, wind surfing, kayaking, lake tours, and bird tours.

Within 90 minutes of Bacalar are a dozen or more Maya ruins where tour busses never visit and wildlife shares the site with the few visitors who make their way.

The state capital, Chetumal, offers plenty of provisioning and shopping options as well as several tour companies providing Rio Hondo, caribbean, and jungle adventures. Belize is just 30 minutes from Pehaltun and provides visitors with another set of options for day trips or overnights.

Summer Rates (March 15 to December 14) are $70 a night,  $350 a week, or $1200 a month.

Winter Rates (December 15 to March 14) are  $80 a night,  $560 a week, or $2400 a month.

Three (3) nights minimum stay is required for each of our Villas.
