Welcome to Alamitos Bay, just a short stroll from Belmont Shore - and 2nd Street. This beach cottage is in the exclusive Peninsula neighborhood of Long Beach - you'll find you've arrived in a quiet little beach town with all the amenities of a large metropolitan city.  

Your getaway is between the Bay and the Ocean just got more affordable!! Fall rates are here - but it's still summer at the Beach!

Enjoy the sunrise on the Bay and the sunset on the Beach.  You're only about 200 feet away from either one.  But be sure to relax and take a breath!  You're on vacation.  And even if you've come for work in the City, at the University, or at the Port, we'll do our best to make you feel like you've just found your new 'home office' in this secluded spot.

Make your way throught he gate and meander up the stairs to find your own spacious deck where you can BBQ, dine alfresco, or just lounge the day away. This cozy 1 bedroom 1 bath just for two has everything you could want in your very own home away from home.  We'll even customize your bedroom configuration.  Would you rather have two twin beds?  Done.  One queen bed? Okay.  Let us make sure you have just what you'll need to make your stay a comfortable one.

We want to say, "Welcome, won't you come and stay for a while?".  Our impeccable attention to detail will let you know, we want to make your retreat a tranquil one.  Backgammon, chess, watch a movie, need a book?  No need to run in to town, unless you want to.  Need a map, destination flyer or information on a local spa?  Turn to our 'virtual concierge' - a book of attractions, museums, casual or fine dining suggestions.  Or log on to the laptop connected to wifi and do some more research, if you like.

We've equipped the kitchen with more than just a coffee maker and a toaster - - blender, and popcorn maker are included too!

Fire up the gas BBQ, dine or just lounge on the spacious deck overlooking 

the garden below - you're on the second floor.

We've got beach chairs, large beach towels, umbrellas, board games, & card games (not to mention a bookcase full of best sellers) to make your beach stay a relaxing one.

Street parking on our quiet street is "right out front".

Wake up on Sunday morning and make your way to the Farmers Market where you'll find everything you need for alfresco dining on the deck.  Or if you like, go to Pine Avenue in Downtown Long Beach for some upscale dining.  If casual is your choice, take a stroll to 2nd Street to find Legends, Bono's (yes, as in Sonny Bono), or in August, participate in the street long Stroll & Savor.  Did I mention the Golf?  The Birding?  The Kite Sailing?  Racquetball, movies, sailing, swimming, shelling?  Fishing?  Shopping, and spas?  All either out your door or just down the street?

Any other day, you can visit the Aquarium of the Pacific, Long Beach Pike, Queen Mary, Long Beach Museum of Art, Museum of Latin American Art, or stroll through Shoreline Village.  A water taxi will take you between Shoreline Village and Downtown.  

Special events in Long Beach include the International Quilt Festival, E Hula Mau, the Long Beach Jazz Festival, 20th Annual Classic Car show, and the 27th Annual Cristmas Parade to name a few.  Other attractions in Long Beach?  The Ice Dogs.  

Not much further away, you'll find all of the major attractions - Disneyland, Knotts Berry Farm, Universal Studios and so many more.  There are two International Cruse Ship facilities available, or you could just take the Catalina Express "26 miles across the sea..."

LAX and John Wayne International Airports are available if you can't find a flight right into our very own Long Beach Airport.  

Long Beach is freeway close to four major highways that will take you any direction you want to go...it's not only it's own City but it's close to both Orange County and Los Angeles County attractions, sites and destinations.
