Nestled just inside the Tahoe National Forest, this beautiful log home sits high atop the remnants of an old hydraulic gold mine with panoramic views of Banner Mountain and the woods.  This unique home gives one the experience of being peacefully secluded, yet is a short seven mile drive to downtown Nevada City, offering fine dining, entertainment, museums and shopping.  The Retreat is ideal for family reunions, workshops and vacations for relaxing and recreation. 

A stone's throw from the Retreat lies a charming community park with a swimming pond, walking trail, horseshoe pit, BBQ area, playground and sand volleyball court.  The park is for rent and makes a great venue for a casual, affordable wedding. Just over a mile to Scotts Flat Lake the south side boat ramp provides access for swimming, boating, water skiing, sailing, fishing and kayaking on this pristine body of water.

Nevada County was the site of the most prolific gold mining activity during the 1800's.  It's historic sites offer museums, Malakoff Diggins State Park and charming historical districts of Nevada City and Grass Valley for shopping and antiquing.  The region offers great hiking, mountain biking, rafting, kayaking, golf, tennis, sailing, fishing and more. There are cultural/musical festivals all year long at the Nevada County Fairgrounds and during the winter season, Grass Valley hosts Cornish Christmas and Nevada City offers Victorian Christmas festivals.

$175 Mon through Thurs, $200 Fri through Sun/Holidays,  Two night minimum

$1200 per week, high season & holiday rate, $1000 per week off season (7 nights)

$250 security/cleaning deposit   additional $50 pet deposit

10% added for Transient Occupational Tax

$100 cleaning charge for 6 occupants, $125 for up to 7 - 10 occupants
