Nestled just inside the Tahoe National Forest, this beautiful log home sits high atop the remnants of an old hydraulic gold mine with panoramic views of Banner Mountain and the woods. This unique home gives one the experience of being peacefully secluded, yet is a short seven mile drive to downtown Nevada City, offering fine dining, entertainment, museums and shopping. The Retreat is ideal for family reunions, workshops and vacations for relaxing and recreation.
A stone's throw from the Retreat lies a charming community park with a swimming pond, walking trail, horseshoe pit, BBQ area, playground and sand volleyball court. Just over a mile to Scotts Flat Lake the south side boat ramp provides access for swimming, boating, water skiing, sailing, fishing and kayaking on this pristine body of water.
