"Chalet Retreat" on Private Lake with Boats Included! in Fife Lake

A large manicured lawn with beautiful gardens surround this chalet retreat.  Tall pank cedar ceilings and large windows reflect the water and sunlight of the summer day.  This retreat has a spacious floor plan with large rooms to move about (approximately 2000 square feet).  A home where you will feel relaxed on the multiple decks, gardens and beautiful lake.  

Located on 160 private acres, it has a private "gated" drive to the home, and sits on private natural spring lake (with only two other homes on it.....in which one of those is also ours!).  Enjoy your own small dock, paddle boat, canoe, a kayak, row boat for fishing boat and swimming raft!  Terrific pan fishing and swimming.

This home rents on a weekly basis from Sunday  - Sunday during peak summer weeks.

Interior:

This spacious chalet has a master suite loft with two full beds, a large full bathroom, and fabulous views of the lake from the large lakeside windows.  The main level has a  kitchen with everything that you need right down to the dishwasher.  The main level bedroom has a queen size bed in it (all linens are provided for your convenience).  Another full bathroom is also located on the main floor, as well as a full size washer and dryer.  The living room is nice and open with amazing views and has a large stone fireplace.  There is a nice size sunroom off of the living room that houses a futon for sleeping as well.

Exterior:

This retreat sits on 160 acres of private land with plenty of wild life (so be careful driving).  The property sits on a private 25 acre lake called Downs Lake.  This is a natural spring lake that is as pure as they come!  Great swimming off of the swim raft, and fabulous fishing with one of the many boats included with this rental.

Other exterior features include a large fire pit with numerous chairs for sitting around the fire in the evenings making smores.  Extensive decking on the house provides a perfect place for entertaining, along with a gas grill.

The area hosts many activities; including the National Cherry Festival and other local festivals, Michael Moore`s Film Festival, arts and craft shows, concerts in the park, casino`s, wineries, Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes (a must), performances at the widely acclaimed Interlochen Center for the Arts and the Opera House; you`re certain to stay busy.

Enjoy fishing charter boats, catamaran sunset cruises, parasailing (for those who are brave), jet ski rentals, hot air balloon rides, our local markets, cherry picking (and other fruits depending upon the season), and hiking trails.

Looking to golf? Perfect area for that! Fantastic golf courses surround Traverse City. Fishing? Look no further. Shopping? How about a large mall, outlet mall, and amazing local shops to find that special treasure. The dining is also fabulous, and we have amazing local chefs that prepare meals that you`ll want to tell your friends and family about (as you`re looking out at the reflection of the water, or dining by sunset).

September 25, 2011 - May 19, 2012 $450.00 2 nights, $750.00 week, $1,600.00 per month, applies to longer term leases and includes all utilites & snow plowing.

2012 Rates:

May 20 - June 16, $450.00 2 nights, $1200.00 week

June 17 - August 17, $1,500.00 week, (Sunday - Sunday)

August 18 - September 22, $500.00 2 nights, $1,200.00 week

September 23, 2012 - May 18, 2013, $450.00 2 nights, $750.00 week, $1,600.00 per month, applies to longer term leases and includes all utilites except snow plowing.
