Spacious Contemporary just two miles off the Blue Ridge Parkway, and adjacent the 18th tee at one of the most prestigious mountain golf courses. Walk to clubhouse. 2 miles off the Blue Ridge Parkway at milepost 344, in Yancey county, home of Mt Mitchell, highest elevations in the eastern US. Less than an hour out of Asheville and Biltmore Estate. Massive stone fireplace burns wood, lots of gorgeous solid T&G wood on the walls create a mountain lodge atmosphere, with beds for 10. Deck overlooks wooded lot, sits on nice knoll. This home originally built by the course developer for his own family.
We are located less than 2 miles to Setrock Falls, Roaring Fork Falls, Black Mountain Campground. Right on 18th tee Mt Mitchell Golf Course. The South Toe River valley is an outstanding trout fishing area with numerous hiking trails and the national forest is across the street. This home is about an hour's drive from Asheville between Marion, Lake Tahoma and Burnsville. Short drive to Mount Mitchell State Park, Lynville Falls, Grandfather Mountain, Chimney Rock, Biltmore Estate, The Penland Crafts/Art Center, Little Switzerland, and Spruce Pine.

- Roaring Fork Waterfall - only 1/2 mile from Mount Mitchell Golf Course, one of the most spectacular falls in the area, and a real hidden gem. Its 1/2 mile hike up a forest road, nearly level hike.
