Beautifully fully furnished. Including: King, queen, and trundle bed with a full on top and twin bed on bottom. Brand new kitchen in 2009 with all new appliances (including dishwasher!) Newer Maytag washer and dryer.  Gas BBQ , indoor patio with furniture. Exterior patio with outdoor patio furniture as well! 4+ bikes for beach cruising!  Internet access. 1 parking space which will easily accomodate a SUV or full-sized truck, easy access from alley (not covered). Fully equipped kitchen. Including coffee maker toaster and blender, and all housewares, towels, and linens, just like home!

vacation rental rates

Winter rates - 1500  per week, plus 10.5% city tax. $150.00 maid fee and $500.00 deposit. Booking is done thru the mail with a rental agreement.

Summer weekly saturday to saturday rates are between 3000 and 3800 per week , plus 10.5% city tax. $150.00 maid fee and $500.00 deposit.  Note - all deposits are returned within 10 buisness days. June 3000.00 + fees and deposit - July 3800.00 + fees and deposit - August 1st thru 15th 3800.00 + fees and deposit  - August 15th thru the 30th - 3000.00 + fees and deposit.

*Special Winter rate for 1 month stays, $4500.00 plus $1000.00 deposit, no city tax when stay is over 30 days. Saturday to Saturday weekly rate time frame whenever possible with checkin after 3 pm and checkout no later than 10 am.

*3 day minimum stay winter rates - 250.00  to 300 a night  + fees and deposit  ( NOTE -  Payment with Bank Check or Money order  only - if full payment is not received 60 days prior to arrival

Wonderful Beach Cottage & Volleyball Vacation

Our stay could not have been better! The volleyball courts are right off the back patio and always provided entertainment to watch. My daughter played volleyball every day with the neighbors who were renting the house next door. Sometimes there were pickup games with others too. The amenities were as is we were staying at a friend's house. There was some basic pantry stuff (Ketchup, spices, etc) as well as some leftover coffee and peanut butter from former tenants. There's a market about 3 blocks away that has anything else you'd need, even meats! The owners provide liquid hand soap at all of the sinks and detergent to use the washer and dryer. There was even shampoo and the like in case you forgot yours! There's a cd and dvd player but not many leftover cd's or dvd's so bring your own if you want. The outside shower is fabulous for rinsing off after playing in the sand. It's such a great space, private house on the boardwalk so you definitely don't feel isolated but it is at the south end so you don't feel like you are in the middle of a frat party either. We can't wait to visit again. It's like a home away from home.

Recommended for: age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sight seeing, tourists without a car, romantic getaway

Location, Comfort, and Hospitality!

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our vacation at Grace's Beach House. I am always a bit nervous about booking a place sight-unseen, but no need for worry here. The pictures and descriptions provided are accurate -- nice updates, new appliances etc. (The king bed was SO comfortable!) The house may seem small compared to the other houses along the boardwalk, but we (family of 5 -- mom, dad & 3 teenagers)found it very comfortable. Both Mike and Pat (managers/Grace's sons) were very friendly and so easy to deal with. They provide a lot of the extras too -- from beach towels to laundry soap to boogie boards. Being right on the boardwalk was incredible -- beautiful sunsets, fantastic bike rides, lots of volleyball action, . . . Grace's Beach House was a great escape from a LONG Minnesota winter! We certainly hope to return!!

Recommended for: adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sight seeing, tourists without a car, romantic getaway

Owners response: This is a Single Family Home Not a Condo which consist of 2 or 3 units that is why our home looks smaller than the other properties. Most ocean front properties are condos and very few single family homes remain.

We just returned home after a wonderful stay at Grace's Beach House. This was our first time to San Diego and we were thrilled with the location and the amenities that this rental had to offer. Everything from beach toys (which were thoroughly enjoyed by our 2 year old), to the up-to-date magazines were provided and everything in between. We definitely hope to return some day.
