New rustic log-sided, non-smoking cabin situated on 1.5 acres of waterfront in Deer cove.  Tie up your boat and jet skis right at shore.  We have 300+ feet of waterfront on Pigeon Roost cove - an easy walk to the water from the cabin and you're only 5 minutes to Powell Park Marina's boat ramps.

The cabin features a knotty pine interior with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths - sleeps 6 comfortably in beds.  Ceiling fans in each room, separate temperature controls for each bedroom, and the 2 bathrooms both have tub/shower combinations with instant hot water heaters.   Guests can enjoy the wrap-around deck with a view of the cove for a quiet morning cup of coffee or just relaxing with friends and family.  Pull-through asphalt drive with plenty of room for boat parking.

Kitchen is equipped with all modern appliances and filtered reverse osmosis drinking water.  Coffee pot, coffee, dishes, cookware, all bedding, bath towels are provided.  Satellite TV, Weber grill (bring your own charcoal).  For those guests that don't want to even see a kitchen on their vacation, we only 5 minutes away from the restaurant at the marina where you can get an excellent meal.

Besides fishing, Sam Rayburn offers hours of fun pleasure boating, waterskiing, jet skiing, swimming, camping, or just having an old fashioned picnic in one of the quiet coves.  Adjoining the Angelina and Sabine National Forests, the lake is a bird watcher's paradise!

We are approximately 30 miles from San Augustine which is located on the historic El Camino Real.  San Augustine is one of the first settlements in Texas and has over 50 recorded Texas Historical landmark homes and sites. You may want to spend an afternoon visiting the cookie factory (Pinto Pony) and shopping for antiques in this little old fashioned town.

Powell Park marina is only 5 minutes away and offers a restaurant, tackle, groceries, gas, boat ramps, and a wonderful sandy beach for swimming.

Lufkin is approximately 55 miles away and offers fine restaurants and shopping.
