The 2012 season has been beautiful!

Our casa is a 2 Bedroom with a small loft... it accommodates up to 6 guests. 

We are located in a secluded section of the Nosara nature preserve, only a short walk to the beautiful beaches of Pelada and Guiones (3-4 minute walk to Pelada, approximately 300 meters; and 10-minute walk to Guiones).  Several restaurants are all also within walking distance.

Please specify dates of arrival and departure with your inquiry – estimated travel dates are fine.  All posted 2011-2012 rates are up to date.  Thank you for your interest in our surf casa.

2011/2012 Season Rates

Holiday Season: $1,250/week (1 week minimum)

  • November 19th - November 27th
  • December 17th - January 8th

High Season: $1,050/week  ~  $3,000/month  ~  $185/night (3 night minimum)

  • November 1st - April 30th (excluding holidays dates)

Green Season: $850/week  ~  $2,400/month  ~  $150/night (3 night minimum)

  • May 1st - October 31st

 

PAYMENT OPTIONS: check, money order or credit card (3.5% interchange fee added to transaction... Visa, MasterCard and Discover accepted)

ADDITIONAL SECURITY DEPOSIT: $300 due at time of check-in (cash) or in advance (credit card)

HOLDING THE HOUSE: Upon request, we are happy to hold the house for a period of 3 days for your requested dates of stay.  A 25% deposit is required to hold the house for longer than 3 days, the remaining 75% is due within 30 days.

We were only in Nosara for 4 days in the middle of August... and it rained. Since we were only staying a few days, our first inclination was to get a hotel, boy are we glad we came across this place! Considering there were 4 in our party and we needed 2 rooms, for the price it was considerably less expensive than any of the moderate hotels we thought about staying at. Plus we had the benefit of a kitchen and a living room, as well as an extensive collection of DVDs to enjoy. Not that we went to Costa Rica wanting to catch up on our movie viewing, but OMG... the rain was crazy the first 2 days! When the sun finally showed its face on day 3, we were able to explore a bit more. This place, as secluded as it seems it really close to the ocean. In fact, on the last two nights (when it wasn't raining) we could hear it at night when were on our way to sleep.

The house is great, the owner was responsive to our questions and even warned us well in advance that we would probably experience some wet days. Thanks for the DVDs and all of the various card and board games -- we enjoyed/appreciated them all!

Recommended for: adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sight seeing, romantic getaway

You put the lime in the coconut...

We fell in love with Costa Rica on our first trip to Tamarindo in 2002 and have made our way back several times since. On our most recent trip we decide to branch out and check out some other towns. After landing in San Jose, we made our way to Limon on the Caribbean side, it was okay. Next headed back to San Jose and caught a little plane to Tambor where we spent 3 days, we had a great time - no regrets. Next we caught a flight over to Nosara where we spent the last 4 days of our vacation before heading back to San Jose and returning to the U.S. We wish we had made our way here sooner, but left knowing there is always next time.

This house is walking distance to the beach but is still very secluded. The property is well maintained and the pool and garden area provided my family and I with some of the best memories of our trip. We would definitely rent this house again.

It did rain while we were there, but this is fairly normal for this time of year. We still managed to get it in plenty of beach time and left with the feeling of relaxation we have come to expect from this wonderful country - pura vida!

Sorry to hear your Caribbean experience was just okay. About 5 years back, my family and I spent the week in a town just south of Limon, called Cahuita. Sadly we had a similar experience. The town and the people were nice, the bummer of it was that we had rain for all but 5 minutes of our trip -- literally. Apparently, September and October are the best months to go to Caribbean side. Sure wish we knew that before we went, but nothing a deck of cards and a bottle of wine can't fix! Thanks for taking the time to review our casa and happy to hear you that you will keep us in mind for your next trip.

Our second time here

This is the second time my family (4 including myself) have stayed at this house. Our last trip was just over two years ago and were very happy to find the house, pool and garden area to be exactly what we remembered. Everything has been extremely well maintained since our last visit.

We were also very happy to work with the same local property manager (Agnes) -- she was extremely helpful in setting up an airport transfer from Liberia and arranging for a turtle tour in Ostional. What else can I say that the other reviewers haven't already. If you are planning a trip to Costa Rica, Nosara is the place to go! If life brings us back to Nosara we will absolutely stay here again.
