"Betty's Boutique Beach Bungalow" in Pompano Beach

This intimate quiet beach retreat is a beach bungalow-style house with three separate apartments each with tropical colored doors and just a few minutes stroll from one of the most beautiful wide beaches in South Florida. Safely hidden from the mood ruining madness and conventionality of a typical tourist-class hotel/motel this private guesthouse is located on a quiet side street, just off A1A at the end of Millionaire's row. Spend an entire day under your high-end beach umbrella (provided) and watch para boarders. Enjoy cocktails at the Tiki Bar or a therapeutic two hour massage at Betty's favorite local spa. Yes, it is time to relax! You'll enjoy high-end furniture, a designer stone kitchen, five star cleanliness and literally everything you could possibly want including a huge dose of charm and value. Shower outside in the tropical yard, nap in the hammock and BBQ. Host a small party. Betty's Beach Bungalow was selected as a "treasure" for a travel book. Big dogs welcome with trained owners! 

I know the level of comfort and cleanliness that I demand when I travel, and provide the same for my guests. "Five star clean" is hard to find even at the best hotels. We don't just clean the toilet, we 'polish' the toilet. Shower walls and floors are always washed with Clorox. We never cut corners even in a hurry. We know how important cleanliness is for true vacation relaxation.

Each apartment is sea themed with red coral, tropical plants, flowers, sea shells and sea glass. Enjoy high thread count sheets, fluffy towels and choose from selection of fresh bed pillows. A heated swimming pool is usually available at my other vacation rental for your use.

You'll find a generous supply of 'start up' supplies which includes several bottles of spring water, coffee, milk, sweeteners, spices, sponges, glass cleaner, liquid dish detergent, paper towels and various other cleaning supplies and kitchen goodies! As well as an endless supply of fresh white cleaning towels should you need them for any use. The kitchens have designer stone counter tops, Kohler fixtures, high-end toaster ovens, (not the small cheap kind) microwaves, blenders, Kitchen Aide cookware and other nice culinary equipment. There is a hair dryer on the wall, and an iron and ironing board in the closet.

Beach towels, beach chairs, coolers and a beach umbrella are provided!

The large tropical backyard has an outdoor shower, hammock, charcoal grill and twinkle lights in the trees. Make a pitcher of tropical drinks and walk up to the beach... or host a small party in the backyard. The lovely front apartment has the added charm of a large screened in porch with comfortable porch furniture and arty fish on the walls. It takes less then five minutes from your front door until your feet are in the ocean. 

The wireless is strong even in the tropical backyard. Of course there is also cable tv with "On Demand" available in guest apartment two.

Bring Fido and enjoy a dog bathing tub in the laundry room or any of several hoses on the property for bathing. Dog shampoo, rinse, dog towels, dog bowls, and a dog bed all provided. Although the beach signs "say" no dogs... many dogs enjoy the beach at the end of the day and my guests have never had a problem running their dogs on the beach.  

POOL: There is no pool on the property, but I have another property down the beach with an over the top beautiful swimming pool on the Intracoastal Waterway and my guests are usually welcome to use it! It is very special and heated in the winter!

I always encourage my guests to go to my very favorite "escape" spot which is the top level of the Sea Watch restaurant which is just a few minutes drive down the beach. When there, you know for sure you are really on a serious beach vacation as it overlooks the most outrageously beautiful sea grape drenched private beach in all Florida! 

I love assisting my guests with ideas and provide a copy of Frommer's Guide to South Florida in each apartment. 

Fishing and scuba/snorkel/glass bottom boats are docked right up the street and will accommodate you in a much nicer fashion than touristy Ft. Lauderdale. 

Lauderdale~by~the~Sea is a short drive down the beach where you'll find a long pier, trendy restaurants, beach shops and homemade ice cream which you can enjoy while listening to the ocean. Red Reef Park is a beautiful natural beach area, just north of Pompano-by-the-Sea, with a reef you can snorkel at right off the beach!

There's shopping on Las Olas, at the Galleria, Sawgrass... and right across the bridge is the new Pompano Beach Mall, a golf course, cinema, dog park and bike trails.

Several restaurants are within very short walking distance.

Entire beach bungalow can be rented to accommodate up to seven people. Guest Apartments have one bedroom / one bath. Beautiful bright efficiency available overlooking tropical backyard, alone or to accommodate larger groups. Flexible early check-in and late check-out accommodated whenever possible. Rates vary due to efficiency or one bedroom, week night or week end and also... number of nights. Rates based on double or triple occupancy. Dogs (big or small) welcome with approval. Pet fee is $5-10 per day. Prices subject to change without notice. There is no upfront cleaning fee. Only credit card number necessary for the inventory-damage deposit. Guests are encouraged to get travel insurance in case of unforseen emergency that causes booking cancellation.
