The rooms include kitchen, dining, and living area and 2 bedrooms ( 1 master bed and 2 twin beds (which can be made a king bed if needed) with attached full bathroom in the main house and the casita(guesthouse) with master bedroom. The casita has an attached full bathroom. The interiors include natural wood, marble, granite, and handcrafted tiles. The kitchen is fully equipped with stainless steel high end appliances, elegant wood cabinets, and granite countertops. The grounds are lush and manicured and the infinity pool is just steps from the home.

This home is cared for by a locally-based property management staff, to help you when needed and to ensure that your stay with us goes smoothly.

The management office can help you with travel arrangements, airport transfer etc if told in advance.

There is maid service (private cook) available who will cook food and clean the house - $3.00 per hour. The management office on site will help you with all the arrangements.
Tilaran is about 2.5 miles from the home. The staff is extremely helpful in the management office and also the maid service is excellent. I highly recommend it.
 
Activities: the yacht club is  right across the street from our home. They have sailing, jet ski, kayaking,boating etc.  The windsurfing and Kiteboarding is just 4.5 miles from the home. white water rafting about 20 km from home. The arenal volcano and activities are 1 and 1/2 hrs from the home. Monteverde cloud forest is 35 kilometers from home.Fishing is 30 minutes from home.

Casa Lago Arenal is wonderfully situated in the midst of many activities in and around the top destinations in Costa Rica.

The closest town from Casa Lago Arenal is Tilarán. It is about 5 KM from the House. It is a small, quiet, rural town with a supermarket, several bars and restaurants, internet cafe and a pleasant town square around which pretty much everything is located.

Its an important tourist site in that there pass the roads to some of the country’s main tourist destinations: Monteverde, Arenal Volcano and the Pacific beaches. Roads in this town is possible the widest in Costa rica.The weather is also very nice, an average of 75 F.

Nuevo Arenal is the other town which is about 30 minutes from the house. The Arenal Botanical Gardens are located 4km east of Nuevo Arenal and contains 2,200 rare tropical species of plants including anthuriums, bromeliads, ferns, gingers, heliconias, roses, orchids, and gorguras.

The gardens also have an Asian garden with waterfalls and live snakes in cages. Butterflies and birdlife are all over, and it is a magnificent place to visit for a few hours

San Luis Yacht Club : Right Next to the Home is the Yacht Club Which Offers Wind Sailing, Jet Ski & Kayaking.

There is also restaurant in the yacht club.

Lake Arenal is a fantastic place to go for world class Windsurfing, boating, and fishing for South American Bass and Rainbow Bass. The majestic Lake Arenal is Costa Rica’s largest lake. Surrounded by rolling hills of pastured and forested land, the imposing cone of Volcano Arenal dominates its eastern vista. Following the 1968 eruption, Lake Arenal was enlarged to 3 times its original size, an area of 85.5 km (33 sq. miles). Now it’s basin forms a hydroelectric project that produces 9% of Costa Rica's electricity. The lake offers many year-round activities: windsurfing, fishing, boat tours, and kayaking. For those traveling to the Monteverde Cloud Forest, taxi boats provide a quick and scenic shortcut across the lake. The surrounding area offers land tours by horseback, mountain biking, and hiking.

Windsurf : one of the top windsurf destinations in the world. Lake Arenal provides a scenic backdrop and little or no boat traffic, making it a must do among avid windsurfers. Rent equipment or take a class with Tico Wind (2692-2002) or Tilawa Windsurf Center (2695-5050.)

White Water rafting: Not far from the town of Canas you can do whitewater rafting in Rio-Corobici

Viento fresco Waterfall  : This private farm started operations to offer visitors the chance to see four of the country’s most beautiful waterfalls.You will find the place 11 KM from Tilaran following the road to Monteverde. There is ab information center that will guide you through the tour.

You can walk , horsebackride or drive.There are 3 waterfall here : Rio Serena, Escondida, Arco Iris (the biggest waterfalls(75 meters).

Monteverde Cloud Forest : Selvatura Park, in Santa Elena, provides ccca total cloud forest experience. The park offers the longest canopy tour in Costa Rica, and an amazing ride involving 19 cables and 20 elevated platforms. Selvatura also features Treetop Walkways – a series of suspension bridges as high as 150 ft. above the ground, winding 1½ miles through the canopy.

A butterfly exhibition and a hummingbird garden also await visitors. Other activities in Monteverde include coffee Tour,orchid Garden, cheese Factory and Frog Pond.

La Fortuna: is just 4 miles (6.4 km) away from the Arenal Volcano and provides a great base for exploring Arenal and the surrounding area.

This natural wonderland has spectacular Waterfalls and ancient caves to explore walking or on Horseback. A trip to the Venado Caves (Cavernas de Venado) will give you the impression that you have arrived at a different planet.

Arenal Hanging Bridges are a great way to experience the Arenal Volcano up close. This incredible project is located near the volcano in the midst of a protected rainforest preserve.

The spectacular 3 km walk crosses over 15 bridges including 6 hanging bridges. From the phenomenal structures, you will be able to experience nature from every direction.

Caño Negro Refuge : The 10,000 acre Caño Negro Refuge is a remote tropical everglade with a large network of rivers and wildlife. It is home to 350 species of birds, as well as the emerald basilisk, river turtles, caimans, Jaguars, Ocelots, giant anteaters, monkeys, and many other wild creatures.

Guides will take visitors on Bird Watching and fishing trips along the calm Rio Frio. The best time to visit is during the rainy season when the lake is full.

Arenal Volcano & La Fortuna area is only about 1 and 10 minutes from Casa Lago Arenal. The main attraction here is the active Arenal Volcano; one of the top ten active volcanoes in the world. During the day visitors can take a hike through the Arenal Volcano National Park where you will walk through majestic forests.

At night watch the incredible lava display from the volcano. There are a wide variety of adventure activities to choose from in the Arenal area:
rafting, hiking trails, horseback riding, mountain biking, waterfall rappelling, hot springs, hanging bridges, canopy tours, zip lines, wildlife viewing, and even cave tours.
