vacation rental description
Classic Florida cottage, great for a family vacation. *Please note that during the winter and spring we only take Saturday to Saturday reservations.* The brand new lagoon pool is the showpiece of the home and a hit with young and old alike. Brand new kitchen with top-of-the-line ammenities. The home was built during the awesome boom days of South Florida in the 1950`s and 60`s, with Dade County Pine ceilings and an ornamental coral rock wall, both now Federally protected and no longer available for building. Truly unique and classic South Florida, no South Beach pretense. The exposed pine ceilings provide a warm, homey touch. The back bedrooms have sliding glass doors for direct access to the pool area. The backyard is completely fenced to provide Key West-style privacy. Window air-conditioning units. Wireless high speed internet and cable television. The legendary Mai Kai restaurant is a short walk away for all you tiki enthusiasts. Coral Ridge Mall is also close by. Remnants of the "old coconut plantation" out front provide coconut milk for your cocktails. If you get tired of the pool, and you won't, the beach is just over a mile away. The neighborhood is very secure and very quiet and like-minded visitors are required. A quick twenty minute drive from the airport. There is a daily $10 surcharge for heating the pool, recommended December to April. Great deal and a great place for a laid back, casual family vacation.

1.2 miles to the best part of Fort Lauderdale Beach. The drive takes 5 minutes. Coral Ridge Mall, which has movie theaters, a Target, Publix grocery store, and a variety of other stores is a five minute walk. The Mai Kai restaurant is a mere 10 minute walk. Wilton Manors is 1 mile away and Las Olas is about a 10 minute drive. 20 minutes to the airport.
vacation rental rates
High season (December to April) we prefer Saturday to Saturday rentals. Rates higher during holidays. Low season has a four night minimum with a rate of $688. Florida sales tax of 11% is additonal as well as a one time linen set-up/cleaning fee of $100. $300 security deposit is returned within two weeks of your departure. Pets will require a higher security deposit. There is a $10 daily surcharge for a heated pool. Recommended December to April.
