Quevedo Family Beachhouse in Guanaqueros

Do you want an authentic Chilean experience?  This is a charming escape from the hustle and bustle of Santiago.  By car it is approximately 5 hours drive (433 KM / 270 Miles).  The house itself is 2045 sq ft (190 m2) and sits on a 1.2 Acre (5000 m2) lot.  The house is located exactly 1/2 mile (1K) from the beach.  Photos available via email.

The house is equipped with Satellite Television (Direct TV) and the rent includes a housekeeper/cook.  For larger groups there is a guesthouse on the property with 3 bedrooms and one bathroom.

While at the beach it's common to see seals perched on the rocks.  Many vacation goers enjoy fishing, windsurfing, swimming, and water skiing.  Our family has enjoyed this little piece of heaven for years and hope that you do as well.  No one should leave Guanaqueros without stopping by the Centro Gastronomico "El Suizo" in the center of town.  Here, each tiny seafood shop has its own particular specialty, but be sure to try the seafood empanadas.  You won't find them better anywhere else!

If you want a day away from the beach, the hamlet of Vicuña and Elqui Valley is a short trek away.  There you can view the Tolo Observatory, taste the local wine and food and visit the home town of the famous poet Gabriela Mistral.  In Guanaqueros, however there are quaint restaurants
