Snowbowl Retreat on 5 Acres with Nanny Quarters in Flagstaff

This multi-level custom home sits on 5 acres of beautiful ponderosa pine trees and features views of the San Francisco Peaks through the large picture window, the upstairs loft, and the expansive stone patio.  

Easy access to superb biking and hiking trails including Fort Valley Trail System and the Shultz trails. 

A winter get-away four miles northwest of Flagstaff on the road to Grand Canyon, this beautiful setting gives easy access to Snowbowl downhill ski runs, Wing Mountain snow play area, and cross country skiing at the Nordic Center.   Stay the night and beat the crowds into Snowbowl and Wing Mountain--and avoid the traffic back into town later in the day.  

The acreage around the home makes for great snow play--right out the back door!  Use your showshoes or cross country skis without leaving the property!

This home has 5 bedrooms, loft areas, and a total of 4 1/2 baths. The master bedroom on the ground floor features a king bed with memory foam and its own access to a private patio seating area.  The master bathroom includes a large garden tub as well as a walk-in tiled shower.  The second level in the main house includes two bedrooms with bunkbeds, a twin and a trundle for the kids.   A loft area with loveseat for reading or enjoying the view of Mount Humphreys separates the bunkrooms from a third bedroom featuring a queen bed.   There are two bathrooms on the second level in the main house.  

The attached nanny's quarters feature a private bedroom with queen bed, a kitchenette, private bath, and a twin plus trundle in the living area for two additional people.  

The ground floor of the main house includes a living area with a cozy, gas fireplace, a piano and picture-window view of Mount Humphreys.  The TV room has a couch and flat-screen with DirecTV, DVD, and VHS players.   The room also includes a table with six chairs--a great place for kids to play board games or puzzles, and for "kids dining" while adults use the larger table for six in the dining area.   Extra tables and chairs are available in the garage.  

In addition, on the ground floor there is a game room with ping-pong table, bay window seating, games and toys.   Game room opens to a private outdoor wooden deck patio.  

Large kitchen includes an island with gas stovetop and multiple food prep areas.   There is a half bath off the kitchen and a hallway leading to the "mud room" with utility sink, washer and dryer, and access to the large stone patio area with commercial-grade barbeque, front wrap-around wooden deck, entrance to nanny quarters, and garage.    

The land surrounding the home is stunning, with easy access to hiking and mountain bike trails, national monuments, Grand Canyon National Park, and historic Flagstaff.  Wildlife includes deer, elk, squirrels and many species of birds.  Feel secluded, yet close to Flagstaff activities.  Home features radiant in-floor heating in addition to the gas fireplace with blower.

Rates: $500 per night weekends (Friday and Saturday nights) during high season, $450 per weekend night otherwise.  Mid-week rates per night are $420 during high season and $390 otherwise (Sunday through Thursday nights).  Holiday rates are the same as weekends, except that Christmas, New Years and Thanksgiving are booked by the week only at $2750.   Peak summer rates are $2500 per week.   Monthly rate is $7000 for low season, $8500 for high season.   The cleaning fee is $175. 

Prices are for up to 12 guests.  More than 12 guests will be considered, based upon the circumstances.    For additional guests over 12 up to a total of 16 guests, add $25 per guest for each night you stay.  We must pre-approve additional guests.  

Fifty percent (50%) deposit is required to hold your reservation.   Deposits can be paid through Paypal.  The deposit is FULLY REFUNDABLE up to 20 days prior to your arrival.  After that time, the deposit becomes NON-REFUNDABLE.   The balance is due upon arrival, including a $250 refundable security deposit. 

Pets are allowed with approval.  Please inquire for pet fee.
