Estate Fortsberg has a very special and extremely private location on the beautiful island of St. John. Located on a private promontory of land within the National Park boundaries overlooking Hurricane Hole and Coral Bay, it sits at an elevation of 260’ on historic Fortsberg Mountain. The home encompasses 270 degree views with every window offering a breathtaking delight to the eye.

Early risers will be delighted by the gorgeous sunrises to the east. In the evening of the full moon phase, Estate Fortsberg affords phenomenal views of the moonrise. Look northward to the towering island of Tortola and Southeast to distant Norman Island. 

ABOUT THE HOME:

Estate Fortsberg is a four bedroom, 4.5 bath villa tastefully built and decorated in a traditional West Indian style. The great room is the center of activity, including a gourmet kitchen, dining room and large living area complete with a wet bar. The home was designed with 4 master bedrooms and baths. You will enjoy the experience of each master baths private outside stone shower. 

On the first level, it has a large waterside granite patio with a roofed porch that extends the complete length of the house, offering reprieve from the bright Caribbean sun. Included in this very inviting space directly off the great room is a swimming pool and hot tub. The lower level includes a beautifully landscaped courtyard, private balconies off each bedroom, and a large covered deck area complete with ping pong and the traditional Soggy Dollar ring toss game. 

One to four couples or a large family will have ample room for privacy, relaxation and activities. Three bedrooms have king sized beds and one has two twins convertible to a king. Each bedroom is air conditioned. Children are welcome.

LOCATION:

All visitors to St. John must fly into Cyril E. King airport (STT) on St. Thomas. St. John is reached by a 20 minute car or passenger ferry ride from Red Hook or a 45 minute passenger ferry ride from downtown Charlotte Amalie.

When arriving on St. John at the ferry dock in Cruz Bay, you will travel 8 miles by car to enjoy the ‘quieter side’ of St. John on Fortsberg Mountain in Coral Bay. ‘It’s the way St. John used to be’, describes one St. Johnian. Privacy and seclusion abounds, but you must have a 4 wheel drive vehicle to access Estate Fortsberg. It is 10 minutes from the North Shore beaches; a short walk to the historic ruins of Fortsberg (420’ elevation) and the Battery (80’ elevation); 3 minutes to the world renowned ‘Skinny Legs Bar & Grill’; 5 minutes to any of the several great restaurants of Coral Bay. A 4 WHEEL DRIVE VEHICLE IS MANDATORY TO REACH THIS PROPERTY.
