Lenox Guest Cottage - 1-2 bedrooms in Lenox

Our cottage is a stand-alone building on our 2-acre property overlooking beautiful October Mountain, part of the Appalachian Trail.  The cottage is attached to an old horse barn, which still has two horse stalls and a tack room.  The location is close to downtown Lenox (about a 5 min drive) but is very quiet and private.

The cottage's porch leads to a large, open "great room" that feels very much like a ski lodge or cabin, with wide-plank wood floors and exposed beams.  The great room has a dining table with 4 chairs, a bar with 3 stools, a cool mid-century orange sofa and 2 matching chairs and an entertainment unit with a TV and DVD player.  There is also a ceiling fan for air circulation and a skylight that can be opened to allow air in and out (plus, it has an automatic shade, should you want to block the sun).  We also have an air conditioner available for this room, should you need it.

Down a set of stairs is the second entry way, off of which is a NEWLY RENOVATED bathroom (see pic) with a heated tile floor, a roomy shower and a claw-foot tub.  Also at the bottom of the stairs is a recently renovated open kitchen with all new appliances, a granite counter top and a "bar" with two stools.  A gas heating unit sits just ouside the kitchen and can be used to heat the whole place, if necessary.  Down the hall are two rooms, one of which is a bedroom with a queen bed and closet.  We have a window air conditioner for this bedroom, though you are unlikely to need it.  The second room has no door, which is why we don't consider this a "true" 2-bedoroom cottage; this room currently houses a free-standing linen cabinet and a bureau.  This could be ideal for a crib, cot or air mattress for a baby or young child - someone who does not need privacy - but there is no bed.  We have a queen air mattress that can be used in that room if you'd like.  We also just installed new carpeting in the two bedrooms last year.

In addition, we have a washer and dryer for your use.

We have one dedicated parking spot for the cottage, but the driveway is large and can accommodate additional cars as needed - please let us know if you would need more than one spot

We also provide cable and Internet access in the cottage.

We are just a mile from downtown Lenox and centrally located for your trips to:

• The Edith Wharton house, Shakespeare & Co. and other Lenox attractions
• Williamstown (Williams College and the Williams College of Art)
• Mass MOCA, The Clark Institute of Art and other attractions in North Adams
• The Normal Rockwell Museum and other Stockbridge attractions (10 min away)
• Great Barrington for shopping, restaurants and other attractions
• PLUS, of course, great hiking, biking, kayaking and more!

Rates vary based on time of year, as well as weeknights vs. weekends.  3-night minimum for Summer and Holiday weekends (e.g. Labor Day, Columbus Day weekends).  Please email or call for details.
