vacation rental description
The Christmas Cottage is located on a beautiful 70 acre Christmas tree plantation just two miles off Interstate 91, at Vermont Exit 7. It is nestled in the Connecticut River valley, between the river and the Skitchewaug mountain. It is a very private location with beautiful views of the valley. The Cottage is a place for a perfect family vacation; guiet and safe, but convenient to everything.
In the spring, summer and fall you may enjoy swimming , boating, fishing, hiking, cycling, golfing, tennis, bird watching, antiquing, museums, adventure parks, farmer's markets, flea markets and local fairs and festivals. Performing arts programs are available at the Weston Playhouse, the Lebanon and Claremont Opera houses and several other venues.
In the winter, many of the above are still appealing, but the big draw is the downhill and XC skiing, snowmobiling and ice skating. There are 8 downhill ski areas within 20 to 60 minutes of the farm. Groomed XC areas are also nearby.
The house is located near some of New England's lovliest towns. Our farm has been featured in the AAA New England guide, in other magazine and newspapers, and several calanders, because of its beauty and architectural interest. Our home and barn are on the National Register of Historic Places.
The beautiful Connecticut River is safe and clean. Swimming is available right off our private dock. But for those who prefer, we offer an in ground swimming pool. Canoes, a rowboat and assorted tubes for river fun are available free of charge.
Small pets are welcome but there is a $50 special cleaning fee.
For the comfort of future guests, we do not permit smoking in this facility.
We accept VISA, MasterCard and DiscoverCard
