Certified Audubon Cooperative SanctuaryIn 1998, Windstar was designated a "Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary" by the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary System. Windstar is one of a select group of Clubs in the United States to receive this distinction. To attain certification a course must demonstrate and maintain a high degree of environmental quality in areas such as Environmental Planning, Wildlife & Habitat Management, Outreach and Education, Water Conservation and Water Quality Management.

Windstar on Naples Bay has 6 Har-Tru tennis courts which were completed in early 2007. For evening play, several of the courts are lighted. Mike Manzella - Tennis Professional Mike joins the Windstar staff from Peter Burwash International, a tennis management group. Mike brings extensive experience in instruction and social and competitive events, which include private lessons, adult and children’s clinics, Ladies’ and Men’s Days, social mixers, exhibitions, and interclub events.
