The shopping is great in the village of La Jolla. Del Mar Horse 
track is ten minutes away. Beautiful walks are along the ocean in La 
Jolla village. Many fine restauruants for dining.  Spectacular 
ocean views for lunch in La Jolla village.  Go to the beach at La 
Jolla shores with one mile of sandy beach.  One of the best surfing 
spots in San Diego area is at La Jolla Shores. South end is calm and 
big waves on the north end. Fine body surfing and boggie boarding 
are right there. Rent a kayak, surf board, boggie board and take a 
lesson.  ("Surf Divas") It is all there at La Jolla Shores. San 
Diego attractions are only a 20 minute drive south.
