Busy Bears Cabin in Blowing Rock

Located just minutes from the entrance to Yonahlossee Resort on the crest of Crystal Mountain, one finds Busy Bears Cabin a new and spacious five bedroom, three and a half bath mountain getaway home.  One of the owners fell in love with our Blue Ridge Mountains as a young girl when she attended Camp Yonahlossee which evolved into today’s Yonahlossee Resort and Club.  

The Great Room of Busy Bears Cabin focuses around a large, stone, wood-burning fireplace.  Double sets of sliding glass doors lead to a large covered deck that overlooks an undisturbed wooded forest.  Guests will also enjoy the 46” flat screen TV with DVD located in the Great Room.

The Kitchen is open to both the Dining Room and Great Room.  Hickory kitchen cabinets are enhanced by granite counter tops and black appliances.  The four bar stools at the eat-at bar offer additional casual dining.

The Master Bedroom with king bed is located on the main floor.  This spacious suite features sliding glass doors that lead to an open deck.  The adjoining Master Bath has a Jacuzzi soaking tub, separate tile shower stall, double vanities, and commode closet. 

Two Guest Bedrooms are also located on the main floor.  One bedroom offers a queen bed, and the other has two twin beds.  These two bedrooms share a full bath with tile shower stall and double vanities topped with granite. 

The walk-out lower level of Busy Bears Cabin is truly define and great for families with children.  The first room one comes upon is a huge Family Room equipped with a pool/ping pong table.  Off of this room is a generous Media Room furnished with three leather sofas centering on a 52” flat screen high definition television. 

There are two Guest Bedrooms on the lower level.  One Bedroom has two sets of bunk beds.  The second Bedroom has a queen size bed.  These two bedrooms share a full bath with tub/shower combination. 

Additional guests can be accommodated in the Loft overlooking the Great Room.  The Loft is equipped with a queen sleeper sofa.  There is also a large desk/work area where one can have internet access. 

Please note that while Busy Bears Cabin is not located within the gated areas of Yonahlossee Resort and Club it just minutes from the Resort entrance and the Resort amenities.  The home is located off of Shulls Mill Road in a charming community called Crystal Mountain. 

The Owners of Busy Bears are members of the Yonahlossee Racquet Club and full guest privileges are extended to all of their guests.  This is the first “outside” home to be accepted into our rental management program.  We thought so much of the home and thought our guests would love it too!  

Guests of the Busy Bears Cabin are welcome to enjoy all of the amenities of the Yonahlossee Racquet Club including a 25-yard indoor swimming pool,  fitness center, three indoor Deco-Turf tennis courts, six outdoor clay tennis courts, two full-time tennis pros, and a fully equipped Pro Shop. Use of the
pool and fitness center is complimentary. Minimal fees are charged for use of the tennis courts and for tennis instruction. Gourmet diners will delight in the fare offered by the onsite and four-star Gamekeeper Restaurant.

Busy Bears Cabin is located just minutes from the Village of Blowing Rock home to wonderful boutiques, parks, fabulous restaurants, and numerous cultural activities including the Robert Hayes Center for the Performing Arts and the Blowing Rock Stage Company. The Blue Ride Parkway with its miles of hiking trails, fishing lakes, picnic areass, and scenic vistas is just 2.5 miles away. Nearby local attractions include Tweetsie Railroad, Grandfather Mountain, the Blowing Rock, Linville Falls, Linville Caverns, Appalachian State University,
public and private golf courses, and four ski resorts.

Rates for Busy Bears Cabin vary according to the season.  Discounts are given for stays of three or more days.  Our busy times are July, August, October, and major holidays.  During these times our rates are higher.  Call and ask about our seasonal rates.
