The house is located on one of the best beaches in the area. This offers you a unique experience on the Gulf of México with delightful swimming all year long, beach combing, and long walking on a natural beach for miles. You'll stay just steps from the sand. As you enjoy your morning coffee, you'll look out over the sparkling sea and hear waves gently lapping on the beach!
There is also great fishing, Mayan ruins, caves, cenotes and golf courses nearby.

There are Restaurants, Theaters and Shopping Malls that are within a just 30 minute drive. Or just 10 minutes drive to Progreso’s malecon to one of our local beach bars or restaurants for a glass of wine and fresh catch of the day of lobster or fish at incredible prices. This is truly the most
peaceful beautiful secret Mexico

The kitchen is fully equipped with all the utensils you can possibly need. The master bedroom has a king bed, air conditioned, beachfront balcony and a private bathroom, the other 2 bedrooms share a bathroom, and have a full size bed each. Each bedroom has ceiling fans and hammock hooks.

Everything in casa is first class!
Our home is only 3 years old. One of the amenities includes a huge terrace with breathtaking views and seating areas. All of this with the perfect ocean view.
There is a nice size swimming pool. The Pool area has outdoor furniture for tanning or just relaxing.

How you'd spend your free time:

Reading, swimming, sun bathing, walking or jogging on the beach, bird watching, collecting shells, relaxing in the pool, taking siestas in a hammock, going to the local harbor to buy fresh fish, going to the village market for produce, trying Yucatecan food that is sold cheaply, practicing your Spanish with the caretaker, visiting the nearby Mayan pyramids of X-Cambo (15 mins. from the house), Chichen Itza (2 hr.), Dzibichaltun (20 mins) or Uxmal (1 1/2 hr.), the colonial city of Mérida (3min.), playing golf (20 minutes), Boating and fishing trips available in the village, driving the back sandy roads of the village investigating, driving to the other nearby fishing villages, relaxing.

In home you can find many pretty sea shells at the beach, lots of sun, and the sea breeze.  Enjoy a tropical environment, the sound of the ocean, the sun and the stars. Ocean swimming and snorkeling.

Exotic bird watching viewpoint just 2 min from the house you can see and hear exotic birds like flamingos and ducks.

Chicxulub village has a Main Plaza and tiny local market for fruits, veggies and meat; there are shops for other staples, a bakery, internet cafe, and several restaurants open for lunch (the main meal in Mexico.)Fishing, scuba diving and boat rides can be arranged with the local fishermen.

There is a Beach club where you can take sailing and kite surf lessons, and has a delicious restaurant.

In Progreso there is the biggest pier of the world (8km long), and a nice beach boulevard (“el malecon”) full of restaurants offering great seafood and typical cuisine some of them will serve you meals and drinks on the beach, on shaded tables.  Here you can find supermarkets, hospital, and a small shopping center with 4 movie theaters and many handcraft stores. Cruise Liners stop at this port.

Golf is 20 minute drive to the 18 hole private Ceiba golf course located between Mérida and Progreso.

Mérida the capital of the state is located 30 minutes away (pop. 750,000) a city founded in 1542, with a rich History, colonial Buildings, museums, beautiful Streets, Embassies, Great Dinning, and Night Clubs. In Mérida you will find cultural events, mayor stores like Wall mart, Costco, Sears, Sam’s club, Burger King, Chili’s, Home depot, TG Fridays, Bennigan's, Pizza Hut Etc. Or visit one of the many Shopping Malls where you will find movie theatres and better clothing and jewelry stores.  Large outdoor handcraft market and a multitude of boutiques, internet cafés, and a wide variety of fast food and international quality restaurants. Taste the world famous Yucatecan cuisine. Mérida is also recognized for their excellent medical services and hospitals. There are buses leaving to many destinations including Cancun (only 4 hours away, cost about $22 US dollars).There is an international airport.

Experience Mayan culture climbing ancient Pyramids, Exploring a cave, dive in Cenote (beautiful caves where you can swim in clear water underground) etc. Archaeological sites as the world famous Mayan ruins of Chichen Itza are at 2 hours driving; also at 2 hours driving is Uxmal. The Mayan ruins of X’cambo are just 15 minutes away. Dzibilchaltun (with its new, excellent Mayan Museum, ecological path to the ruins, and beautiful cenote for swimming) just 20 minutes away.
