Just a few short steps from the beach and with local trolley bus stops either side of gulf blvd the location is perfect for a relaxed beach vacation.The trolley is a cheap and easy way to explore the beach a day rider hop on hop off ticket is about $3.50 and will take you from the beautiful historic Passe-a-Grille to the lively wide open beaches of Clearwater

The cottage is situated in the heart of Madeira Beach approximately 1 mile to the North of  the "world famous" Johns pass fishing village and boardwalk.A short walk,even shorter bike ride and just a couple of stops on the trolley.

Here you can explore  local shops, bars and restaraunts. Every thing can be found here from boat rentals and fishing charters to arts and crafts,or you could just just laze away the afternoon at one of the local watering holes dolphin watching and the catch one of our fabulous florida sunsets.

1 block north from the cottage are local restaraunts dockside daves{famous grouper sandwich and if you have a sweet tooth you have got to try barbs key lime pie} south beach bar and grill next door won best gulf beach breakfast and the daquiri deck on the next block down offers great happy hour drink specials and local live music.Also within walking distance is a quaint italian restaurant and fantastic sushi bar.

Maderia beach village has a post office, library, supermarkets and behind the townhall are tennis courts, baseball field childrens playground and shuffle board courts.

Off the beach the stpete and tampa bay area offer many great attractions check out downtown st pete, ybor city, busch gardens just to name a few of the many easy days out that dont have to cost a lot of money.

There is also excellent shopping malls,oulet shopping,and numerous golf courses. Madeira Beach makes an excellent base to explore...or not leave the beach if you dont wish to.
