Starry Mountain Nights/Ponderosa Pine Meadows in Durango

Our Deluxe Durango Ranch home is nestled on 7 acres amongst the pines with spectacular 360 degree mountain views.   We are an easy 10 minute drive to charming and rustic downtown Durango.  We are merely 37 miles east of nationally recognized archeological site--Mesa Verde.  Because we are overall very centrally located in Southwest Colorado, we are proximal to 4 ski resorts--Telluride, Durango Mountain Resort, Wolf Creek and Hesperus Ski Village.  (Or you could sled down the driveway for extra adventure!)  Sports abound in Durango that include not only snow sports, but also river rafting, cycling, fishng, hiking or just relaxing under the stars on the front veranda or the rear redwood deck.

As we approach fall, the leaves are beginning to turn.  The mountains are sprinkled with an assortment of fall colors--thrilling to behold!  If you return home after an exciting day and you find the air a bit nippy, you'll be glad to enter directly through our heated garage to your accommodations.

All the rooms are paneled with hickory wainscoting and ceiling beams for rustic elegance. There is a heavy hickory split door separating the kitchen and the large adjoining pantry/coat closet from the rest of the house.

All the floors are hardwood, brick or carpet-for an extra cozy warmth on your feet during the winter months. These types of floor coverings enhance the state of the art in-floor heating system.

The light and sunny kitchen is equipped with all the appliances needed to prepare an excellent gourmet meal. You even have your own stackable washer/dryer included!  The views may distract you from your food preparation!

The Jack n' Jill bathroom features hardwood floors and his/her sinks and medicine cabinets. The bathroom is immediately accessible to two separate bedrooms.

Lots of extra storage via large extra closets in the house and extra storage space in the walk-in garage. Lots of parking available for your guests.

Two large bedrooms are fully carpeted and each has its own spacious closet. An abundance of windows allows for a generous cross breeze. Immediate access to the rear redwood deck and pristine views from one of the bedrooms.

Yet another attractive feature to this house is that the entire living space is on one floor, so there are no stairs to negotiate. There's even a locking safe, an intercom system and a built in ironing board!

Featuring tons of storage, a walk in pantry...even a gun safe for the hardy hunter!  Satellite TV channels, DVD player...

All linens, housewares and dishes provided.

Sleeping Accomodations:

2 Master Bedrooms each containing a queen size bed.  One adjoining Jack'n Jill bathroom between each bedroom.

Living room offers a queen size pull out couch bed, plus another bed can be placed in the third bedroom.

Into hunting?  How about snow sports, bicycling (roadies or rugged terrain), hiking, fishing or just relaxing?  The list goes on and on...
