The Big House at Windy Shores in New Braunfels

This 5 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath home is located on a part of the Guadalupe River known as Lake Dunlap just 2 miles outside of New Braunfels, Texas off of Highway 46.  The home is on 7 acres of waterfront property.

Bring the family for a vacation you'll never forget on this quiet retreat located in beautiful New Braunfels, Texas.  New Braunfels is the home of the Guadalupe River and the most popular water park in the United States, Schlitterbahn.  Also close are the outlet malls in San Marcos where you can spend days shopping the over 200 stores.  Also about 1 hour away is Sea World in San Antonio as well as Fiesta Texas and the San Antonio River Walk.

We supply everything you'll need.  The house has a fully equipped kitchen, linens, pillows and outdoor grill.

This property has 7 acres of treed waterfront where you can fish or just sit by the water and enjoy the view.  This home also has a beautiful swimming pool with waterfalls overlooking a gorgeous view of the lake. 

This home is approximately 3800 sq. ft. with 2 stories.  The master bedroom and one bedroom are downstairs and 3 bedrooms and 1 bath are upstairs. 

The master bedroom has a beautiful view of the lake with a completely updated master bath including jetted tub and separate shower and walk-in closet.  There is a door from the master bedroom to the screened in porch.  There is 1 king size bed in the master.

The bedroom downstairs has 2 roll away beds.

Upstairs are 3 bedrooms (1 with a queen size bed, 1 with 3 twin beds, and 1 with 2 twin beds).  The rooms are very large with room to put the kids of the floor if necessary.  The upstairs bathroom is very large with 2 sinks.  There is a separate tub and shower. 

The largest living area has a fireplace with 2 sofas.  A smaller living area is off of the kitchen with a sofa and 2 chairs and a TV with a DVD player as well as cable.

The huge screened-in patio has 2 ceiling fans and offers a beautiful view of the lake. 

There is also a laundry room with washer and dryer.

No smoking is allowed.  No pets are allowed.

Located 2 miles east of New Braunfels, Texas on Highway 46 minutes from Schlitterbahn, downtown historic New Braunfels, local restaurants, antique stores and the historic town of Gruene.  The property has plenty of room for the kids to bring their bikes and ride in the safe surroundings away from traffic.  There are several places to golf in the area including La Cantera, Landa Park Golf Course & The Bandit.

Lots of shopping is just minutes away at the Outlet Mall in San Marcos.

Peak Season (May 1 - Oct 1) - Holiday Weekend $850 per night (3 night minimum); Weekend $750 per night (2 night minimum); Week Night $700 per night.  Weekly rate for 7 nights is $4000.

Non Peak Season - Weekend $600 per night; Week Night $500 per night.  These rates are based on 14 guests.  Additional guests will be accepted only with prior approval of manager and will be charged an additional $25 per night per guest.

Security Deposit - $500

Cleaning Fee - $225

We have great winter rates for snow birds staying a month or longer.  Just give us a call.

The person renting this house must be at least 25 years old and be an occupant of the house during the rental period.

Windy Shores caters to families and businesses looking for a nice quiet place to relax for a few days.  WE HAVE NO TOLERANCE FOR LARGE PARTIES OR LOUD BEHAVIOR.  No more than 14 guests are allowed at a time; foul language will not be tolerated; no music or noise after 10:00 p.m.  Your deposit will be forfeited if we have any complaints from our neighbors or we have to call the police.  Our relationship with our neighbors is important to us and we will not tolerate groups who interfere with their right to quiet enjoyment of their property.
