vacation rental description

This beautiful 16 acre estate in Hidden Beaches is on St. George Sound between Carrabelle and Apalachicola on a gated peninsula extending out into the Gulf and overlooking St. George Island, Dog Island, and the pass between.  The house is situated so that you can walk out the door, down the steps to your tiki hut or beautiful large pool, both sitting on the white sandy beach. If you have children, it's great as you can sit on the deck, by the pool, or at the tiki hut while they're enjoying the beach, and you're always close by. There is not quite the wave action you will find on the island, but our beach is beautiful and private, shallow water several hundred feet out with no undertow.

activities and attractions in St George Island Gulf Coast North

This is the ultimate.  Gated community with only 20 estate lots (only 7 homes) on over 60 acres.  This estate is over 16 acres and 1/4 mile of beautiful white sandy beach.  It also has a place for your boat with covered boat house on creek behind house.   Beautiful lush landscaping,  boardwalks to the beach, and boardwalk across a beautiful pond make this truly magnificent.
Wildlife is abundant.  Many species of birds, ducks, hawks, eagles and also squirrel, rabbit, bear, deer, and otter either live here or visit us on occasion.   Fishing is also at its finest.  Catch redfish and trout in your own back yard.  We have crab trapss available for your enjoyment.  Lots of blue crab in the creek and pond.  Entertainment is at its finest.  Whether by the pool, under the house for the coolness with lots of room, on our many, many decks surrounding the house, in the screened in area fronting the beach, or on the beach itself, it's the best!

Privacy at its finest.  The separate wings offer much privacy if more than one family or group meetings
There is so much glass in the house that the views of the sunrises and sunsets are unbelievable.

Best kept secret in Florida

Judy F. ()
Review submitted: October 24, 2012   Date of arrival: May 28, 2012

Wonderful location and home. When we drove up, my husband (who doesn't like the beach) couldn't stop smiling! He wouldn't let anyone out until he was sure we were at the correct house. It was wonderful. Everything is true. You are on the beach with a private pool. My husband and son in law had a great time fishing. My seven year old enjoyed finding hermit crabs (hundreds of them) she even found a baby horseshoe crab. We left them all for others to find. If you want to get away from crowded beaches and be alone, this is the place for you.

Secluded, Stress Free Vacation

Review submitted: March 6, 2012   Date of arrival: February 25, 2012

This is an incredible home that makes you feel like you are on your own private island!! There is something beautiful to see everywhere you look both inside and out. The master bedroom suite is wonderful. There is a “wow factor” from the views of the water, to the pool, to the abundant wildlife on the property. We thoroughly enjoyed watching the otters, eagles, herons, ducks, dolphins and other beach wildlife. The house was the cleanest rental home that we have stayed in. The furnishings were comfortable and the only thing you need to bring with you is food and clothes. The owner was very accessible and willing to answer questions both before and during our stay. While staying at the house we enjoyed quick trips to Apalachicola for shopping and dining (we liked Tamara’s Café). We also went over to St George Island to visit the State Park on the East end and to dine at the Blue Parrott. We would highly recommend this house for someone who loves the water, wildlife and a private, secluded, stress free vacation.
