The Chugach Mountains loom out the back door to your private, spacious, fully furnished duplex house located in an older quiet east-side neighborhood. Two bedrooms, each with queen bed, one with featherbed! and two full-size futons in living area. Dining table sits six people comfortably. Easy access to the Glen Highway heading north to Fairbanks and the Seward Highway going south to Homer and the Kenai River, where one can find world-class fishing. You may just see a moose sauntering down the street or lazing in the yard after chomping on our berry bushes!

Bed linens are 100% cotton. Large bathroom with tub/shower, plush cotton towels, hair dryer, iron and ironing board; fully equipped kitchen with all utensils plus coffee maker, crock-pot, pots and pans, electric frying pan, microwave, dishwasher, washer and dryer, charcoal grill. Kitchen stocked with spices, condiments, oil, vinegar, coffee, sugar and more. The living room has WiFi, stereo, TV/VCR, cable, phone. There is a large selection of videos and a library of great books! Boodles, the American Bulldog and Una, the Alaska Dog decide on pet guests! Visa, MC accepted

Anchorage boasts the world class Anchorage Museum of History and Art, great restaurants offering fresh fish caught in Alaska waters and vegetables grown in the Matanuska-Susitna Valley; fabulous shopping, from Nordstrom to boutiques in the SoNo District and stores specializing in Alaska hand-crafted arts and crafts. Minutes from downtown, the railway depot and hospitals, Alaska Native Heritage Center, University of Alaska, military bases. Summer and Winter outdoor activities abound in the nearby Chugach National Forest, Russian Jack Park and Coastal Trail. The Iditarod is a great time to come in March!

Winter rates are September 15 to May 15: $90 per night; $595 per week; $1650 per month; three night minimum
Summer rates are May 15 to September 15: $135 per night; $895 per week; three night minimum
12% municipal bed tax to be added to rental except for monthly stays
six weeks cancellation notice required for refund, less a 25% administration fee, unless Guest House is rebooked
