Sunrise Lodge in Santa Cruz

Sunrise Lodge is located in the Santa Cruz mountains near the town of Ben Lomond. Simple, rustic, and private, it was once used as a lodge in a retreat center and is now outfitted as a two bedroom vacation rental. Set in the peaceful and majestic redwoods, Sunrise Lodge boasts a full kitchen, a great room with Fireplace and a sunny deck. Our amateur cell phone photos don't do it justice.

Ben Lomond is centrally located to many activities in Santa Cruz County. Sunrise is approximately 15-20 minutes from the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, SCSU, Natural Briges butterfly park, and The Mystery Spot. Within about 10 minutes there is Roaring Camp Railroad, Henry Cowell State Park and Big Basin Redwoods. If you want to venture just a little further, there are a variety of wineries, the quaint shopping town of Capitola and the Monterey Bay aquarium, and more. The town of Ben Lomond itself has everything you might need- from groceries, videos and a latte to an art gallery, a local theatre (live stage) and park! A personal favorite place I like to visit is Loch Lomond, hidden up in the hills. You can hike the trails or rent a boat and explore. It's stunningly beautiful.
