Not a good choice

My entire family was very disappointed with this rental. First of all, it is located directly next to a railroad track and trains were going by about every hour during the night(we were gone during the day so this might have been the case then)with loud train whistles blowing making it impossible to sleep. The floors were concrete throughout so it was really loud with a very bad echo at all times. One of the water faucets in one of the bathrooms did not work. This was reported the first day and nothing was done. There were only 2 washcloths in the whole place for 7 people to use, only 1 trash bag for use in the kitchen and one sheet for the futon was missing. Thank goodness I had brought sheets from home. The futon was very hard and extremely uncomfortable to sleep on. The worse part of all was the fact that it sits next to a railroad track. This should have been mentioned to us.

Owners response: As a management company we strive to ensure that are guests are well taken care of. It was mentioned in the check-in documents to contact me if there are any linen shortages and I will be more than happy to bring by extra towels, sheets, etc. I was never contacted about this matter or else it would have been taken care of. The day of check-in this guest called me about the fan not turning on and after sending someone over there it was determined that the remote for the fan and light was in the tv drawer and is needed to turn on and off the fan.
We have hundreds of guests come through this property every summer and this is the first complaint I have heard. We also have several return renters that come back multiple times during the summer.
I apologize to this guests that his experience was not what he expected.
