Enjoyed our stay

Our family vacation turned into a mother/daughter trip and we had to change our original plans. Luckily for us, we were able to find and reserve this place on short notice due someone else cancelling. The accomodations were great for our needs and it is easy to access public transportation from the home. The owners were so friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay and are happy to recommend this place to others!

Recommended for: adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sight seeing, tourists without a car

I stayed here while visiting with my Parents in DC, so there were 4 of us total. The room was stocked wonderfully with snacks and breakfast items which we greatly appreciated. Lara also kept it nice and cool which was such relief after being out in the sun walking all day! It was clean, well maintained and cozy. As for advice, if your visiting DC for the first time, get a ticket for a trolley tour, they are good for 2 full days, pick up at key locations every 30min and you will see WAY more and walk a LOT less that way.
Thank you Lara for being such a great hostess!!

Recommended for: age 55+, sight seeing

We stayed at Lara and Alex's place for two days and it was lovely! Unfortunately, Lara was out of town & we didn't get to meet her, but Alex was a wonderful host and gave us many good tips for restaurants, etc. Thank you Alex (and Lara) for providing everything we could possibly need! So nice of you to have goodies for breakfast - we were able to splurge more on dinners! It was especially nice to be able to park right outside; even though we took the bus/metro during the day, a nighttime drive down to the Lincoln Memorial was a breeze, and there was plenty of parking there. We highly recommend this listing.
