Lovely 2 BR near Siesta for Thanksgiving or Christmas weeks in Sarasota

Sunny, spacious, very quiet, nicely decorated, two-bedroom house on lovely Phillipi Creek in Sarasota available from Thanksgiving week for 8 nights from Friday, Nov. 20 at 6 p.m. to Saturday, Nov. 28 at 3 p.m. for $900. Can probably add until Sunday Nov. 29 at 2 p.m. for an additional $150.

Also available from Dec. 22 to January 2. I can either rent it for the whole period. Or I can split it by renting it from Dec. 22 to Dec. 26/27, then from Dec. 26/27 to January 2. Might be open to renting it Dec. 21 if you need it. December holiday weeks rates are higher than Thanksgiving.

The place has two bathrooms including a walk-in oversized tile double shower and jacuzzi in the master bathroom. It has a large living room-dining room, sunroom, large eat-in kitchen. The master bedroom has a king-sized bed and the guest bedroom has a full-sized bed. There is also a full-sized futon in the sunroom though that room does have doors and open to the living room and dining room.

Beautiful house and almost all the furniture is new. Has a garage, new washer and dryer, a lovely new brick patio, and great views of the river. Quiet side road with lots of trees on it. There is a 5-person hot tub with 23 jets in the back yard overlooking the river.

The house is in excellent condition. The kitchen has updated stainless steel appliances, tons of cabinet space, and stone inlaid details along the counters. If you like to cook, there are tons of pots and pans, and kitchen wares including a microwave, a large toaster oven, a rice cooker and a new gas powered grill on the patio. Ceramic plates and bowls. The fridge has options for filtered water, regular ice and crushed ice.

Just about all the furniture is new, including a 52 inch HD TV with dual DVR, Hi Def DVD and VCR. All the living room, master bedroom and dining room furniture is new. High-speed cable Internet and unlimited long-distance calling included for free.

Brand new brick patio, 2 hammocks, recliner and table/chair outside. Large back yard. Lots of wildlife – fish jumping, birds flying by and landing in the water and trees, and occasionally manatees swimming up to the dock.

Tons of restaurants within 5 minutes drive. 4 minutes from Siesta Key, 8 minutes from downtown, 12 minutes from Lido key, 8 minutes from Gulf Gate. There are a dozen of golf courses within a 20 minute drive, and another dozen within a 30 minute drive.

There is a $70 cleaning. There is no realtor’s fee. No smoking or pets allowed. A security deposit is required.

The house is about a mile from the bridge to Siesta key. From there, it's 2 minutes to Shell Beach and 5 minutes to Siesta Beach. Here is Wikipedia's entry on Siesta:

There is a huge amount of recreational opportunities including biking, parks, eco-tours, canoeing, drum circle, golf, boating, kayaking, hiking, historic sites. Almost all of these are perfect for families, and there are also many kid-specific activities in the area such as Jungle Gardens.

There are all kinds of entertainment choices including ballet, opera, theater, live concerts, museums and symphony.

There are high-quality free public tennis courts 5 minutes away, and two-dozen golf courses with 30 minutes (a dozen of which are within 20 minutes, including the top-rated University Park course only 15 minutes away). Bayfront Park is 8 minutes, beautiful Selby Botanical Gardens is 7 minutes, Ringling Museum is 15 minutes, Ed Smith Stadium (where the Orioles spring training is and live concerts are held) is 6 minutes, Payne Park is 5 minutes, Spanish Point (a fascinating historical site) is 15 minutes, Oscar Sherer Park (with lots of wildlife) is 15 minutes, Mote Marine Laboratory and Acquarium is 20 minutes, Arlington Park is 5 minutes, and there are many, many other attractions and parks in the area.

There are over 100 restaurants within 15 minutes drive. Half of them are within a 10-minute drive, and about 25 are within a 5-minute drive. They range from extremely high-end to fast-food and everything in between including family restaurants. There is cuisine from every part of the world. I keep a folder with menus from 50 places. There are also 3 supermarkets less than 5 minutes away so you can also pick up prepared meals, or cook in the lovely modern kitchen. There is also a gourmet market 5 minutes away that will prepare a full holiday meal if you wish.
