Vacation Rental Description

Those first two photos are why we hate to leave after each visit.  The
oceanfront pool, the beach, and the the view...

Below, the two photos of the ocean are photos taken by me, and are the
view of the ocean from the living room of our condo.  Pretty, isn't it?
And guess what!   We have a large, wall length mirror above the sofa
opposite the beach, enabling you to see the ocean from other places in
the condo as well.  It's like one more window to the beach.   

Many of you ask- Are you oceanfront?  Yes, our building is oceanfront.
It is just steps to the pool, and just steps from the pool over the
dunes to the white sand beach and ocean.  We
have eastern views straight to the ocean, and southern views as well,
so you see a wide stretch of beach.    We also have three sliding
glass doors onto our deck and patio- three! One full wall in the
master bedroom is sling glass doors to the patio. Two full walls of
sliders open from the living room.  Open the doors to screens, and all
you hear throughout the day and the night is the sound of the surf,
the fresh smell of the sea air.....  It is truly gorgeous and oh so
peaceful.

lined with palms, sea oats and wildflowers.  The Ocean Gallery was a
Ladies Home Journal Featured Resort and 
hosted the cast and crew of the Hallmark Hall of Fame production The
Flamingo Rising, starring William Hurt, 
Elizabeth McGovern and Brian Benben. 

Containing 2 bedrooms- 1 master bedroom with king bed, LCD
television, sliding glass door to tiled ocean view porch, and private
master 
bath, and second bedroom with 2 twin beds right next to a second 
full bath- this relaxing retreat will feel like your beach home the
minute you walk through its doors. 

Your vacation home is located within a beautifully landscaped and 
well-maintained gated community with 24 hour security and all of The 
Ocean Gallery's amenities.  It is fully furnished including 2 cable 
TVs, free Internet, washer/dryer, dishwasher, full kitchen, linens,
and all kitchen necessities.  Should you need some extra space, the
sofa unfolds 
into a queen size sleeper (linens provided).  Need to make dinner 
reservations?  Local telephone calls are free! 

For the enjoyment of all our guests, this is a non-smoking home, and 
we do not allow pets.  We provide free high speed wireless Internet.
We do have children, and have baby-proofed the porch with netting.  I 
also keep a pack & play in the condo for guests, a booster seat for 
mealtimes, a boogie board, a bin full of beach toys, two beach 
chairs, and a beach umbrella.   The only thing you need to bring is 
yourselves and a couple of beach towels!

If you're coming for the beach, you won't be disappointed!  Two 
gated beach boardwalks, each with a large covered gazebo perfect for
reading a book or having a beach side picnic, lead to 42 
miles of soft sugar sand just beckoning you for a stroll or bike 
ride.

If you are looking for some simple peace and quiet, the gardens,

Activities and Attractions

So many things to do...where should you start?  After basking in the 
sun on the beach or by one of the 5 pools, you could relax with a 
book on your patio, stroll to the clubhouse for a workout, or head 
across the beautiful Bridge of Lions over Matanzas Bay to Old Town 
St. Augustine to sightsee, play, shop or dine.

St. Augustine is rich in history.  If you're looking for a tour, try 
Old Town trolley tours, horse-drawn carriage tours, or scenic 
cruises on Matanzas Bay.  Interested in uncovering some of the 
history of the area?  Visit the Castillo de San Marcos, Spanish 
Quarter Museum, Fort Matanzas, St. Augustine Lighthouse & Museum, 
the Lightner Museum, or the Fountain of Youth.  You can also sign up 
to take a tour of Flagler College.  The college's architecture is 
amazing.  Wish to say hello to residents from the past?  Ghost tours 
depart on foot and by horse drawn carriage.

The kids want something just for them?  Try your hand at one of the 
miniature golf places.  Our favorite is Fiesta Falls.  The J&S 
Carousel is a must-see (and must-ride).  It is located right next to 
the city's library.  Did you know that downtown St. Augustine boasts 
an incredible playground?  We have yet to find one which compares.  
It is located across the street from Barnacle Bills.  Parking is 
easy in the city's parking lot at the visitor center.  During the 
summer, be sure to enjoy St. Augustine's fabulous summer outdoor 
concert series, located on the town square across from the Bridge of 
Lions.  The concerts are free!

Fishing and golf more your idea of fun?  Nearby Sawgrass, World Golf 
Village, and Hammock Dunes will definitely please the golfer in the 
family.   Fishermen and women can head to the St. Augustine Beach 
Fishing Pier, rent a boat, or take advantage of a number of charter 
fishing trips. 

Interested in doing a little shopping?  Many fun shops are located 
within walking distance of our condo, as are 2 major grocery stores- 
Publix and Winn Dixie.  If you love a bargain, the St. Augustine
Premium Outlets and Belz Factory Outlet World will be sure to please!
 Looking for 
more unique items?  Stroll along the cobblestone streets of Old Town 
St. Augustine, St. George Street to start, and have at it!  We dare 
you to go home empty handed.  From unique items, souvenirs like hats 
and t-shirts, to historical treasures and handmade candies (you 
can't escape the smell of fresh fudge), something will surely call 
to you.

Time to eat?  It's tough to decide where to dine.  There are simply 
so many wonderful restaurants in St. Augustine.   Our personal 
favorites are Schooners for fried shrimp and the best Minorcan clam
chowder, Cafe Hidalgo for delicious create-your-own salads, paninis,
and frozen gelato, A1A Aleworks, The Pizza Garden, The 
Beachcomber (right on the beach, sand under your toes!) for burgers. 
 Marble Slab Creamery is just a bike ride up the road!  We have been 
known to gain a couple pounds on each trip to St. Augustine.  Wonder 
why.  Be sure to check out The Restaurant Times for even more 
information on places to eat.  Leave a note in our condo guest book 
so you can share your favorites!

All in all, a trip to St. Augustine can be as relaxing, fun, 
educational, adventuresome, and gastronomical as you want it to be!  
You'll want someplace comfy and beautiful to call "Home", so go on 
and email us!  We'll be happy to make our place yours for as long as 
you wish. 

Vacation Rental Rates

Our Weekly Discount Rates:

Low Season- $865 plus tax/week: April 12- May 24, August 9 - 
December 27 

High Season- $1275 plus tax/week: May 24 - August 9, March 29-April 12

Premium- Easter and 4th of July weeks-  $1410


Monthly Rates:

January, February- $2200/month
March- $2900/month
September - December- $1650/month

NOTE: For Jan-March rentals, please email us for an application.  No
Smokers and No Pets Permitted.

All rates INCLUDE cleaning and security fee.  Rates do not include a
6% sales tax & 3% bed tax. A non-refundable $50.00 advance reservation
fee (is applied toward your
total cost) plus a $200 refundable security deposit is required. 30
day notice of cancellation is required orcancellation fee of $200.00
will be imposed.
