The North End boasts the widest beaches in Virginia Beach. This area is unique because it is peaceful yet close enough for walking or biking to the famous Virginia Beach Boardwalk -- The center of free summer nightly family entertainment, year round festivals and events, restaurants and nightlife.

*NORTH BEDROOM SUITE has a king bed, vaulted wood tongue in groove ceiling, plantation shutters, large flat screen HD TV/DVD, private deck, and spiral stairs to 35 foot 4th level deck.

Adjacent is a full bath w/bubble jet tub, beautiful aqua glass wave tile and classic “penny round” tile floor.

The North End beach is wide, the surf is great and because of the sand bars we often have some of the best riding waves on the coast. If you don’t surf grab a Boogie Board or just body surf the waves. Build a sandcastle, walk the beach, throw a Frisbee, fly a kite, play volley ball or just relax A life guarded area is just half a block away.

Watch your child catch her first fish. Surf fish, pier fish or take a half day “head boat” (pay per person and everything supplied).

For entertainment go down to the  famous Boardwalk a short distance away. Hop the VB Wave Trolley running on Atlantic Ave in the Boardwalk area. In summer see free concerts and entertainment every night, fire works 2 nights a week and street performers. From the spring through the fall there are special events and festivals at the Boardwalk almost every weekend. Even in winter you can ride horses on the beach, see the extraordinary Holiday Lights with a special marine theme, and ice skate at Neptune Park. (Email us for a Calendar of Events).

There are almost limitless things to do close by. Take a day at Ocean Breeze water park; visit the historic lighthouses of Cape Henry, visit the Virginia Aquarium & IMAX; play golf or tennis; take a sunset dolphin cruise or whale watching in the winter; visit the Life Saving Museum; go bowling; rent a jet ski, go parasailing or kayaking. Visit the First Landing State Park or the National Wildlife Refuge. In the spring pick your own strawberries and celebrate at the Pungo Strawberry Festival or later in the summer pick blueberries and blackberries.

In nearby Norfolk tour the Battleship Wisconsin, Nauticus, and the Chrysler Museum. See the Tides AAA Baseball at Harbor Park, or the Admirals hockey team at Norfolk Scope in winter.

Star gaze at night and watch the moon shimmer on the ocean water. The house at night glows with the ambiance of natural maple floors and cabinetry.

Watch a movie on one of the 7 flat screen TVs - 3 with Theater Surround Sound systems. In the winter light up one of the 3 gas fireplaces. After a day at the beach relax in one of the 2 bubble jet tubs.

The sand bars in recent years have made our beach one of the favorite spots for riding waves on Boggie Boards and surfing. The North End beaches are the widest in Virginia Beach.

While it is peaceful on Ocean Front Ave, the cottage is close enough that you can bike or walk to the Boardwalk and enjoy street entertainers every night and free entertainment on 3 large outdoor stages. Ride the VB Wave Trolley up on Atlantic Ave. Stroll the Virginia Beach fishing pier, have a hamburger at Ocean Eddies on the pier. The best view in Virginia Beach. Enjoy fine dining and family restaurants and the nightlife too.
