Cozy Retreat By The Sea in Bethany Beach

Your summer retreat is a 1 bedroom, 1 ½ baths, central air conditioned, non smoking, no pets condo located on the 8th floor of the Brandywine building. The living room has a 17’ glass wall giving you a direct view of the ocean from the living, dining room and kitchen. You can sit on your patio with privacy walls on each side watching the sunrise directly in front of you or just enjoy watching the dolphins swim by.

Our recently painted summer home provides a comfortable setting for 4. The bedroom has a TV, CD player and queen size bed with pillows and blankets provided. You must bring your own linens, towels and paper products. Both bathrooms are accessible from the bedroom.

In the living room there is a (’08) queen size sofa bed, TV, VCR, DVD, CD player and cable (internet) modem.

The kitchen was remodeled (3/09) and is fully equipped with a full size refrigerator/freezer, washer/dryer, dishwasher, microwave, coffeemaker, blender, toaster, glasses, stemware, silverware, pots and pans to allow preparation of meals for your family. Directly outside the front of your condo you can look down on the outdoor tennis courts, children’s play set, basketball court and 3 charcoal grills all for your convenient use. When you go out your front door in the evening you’ll have a wonderful view of the sunset.

Our building is located between 2 of the many pools on the ocean side.

Linens, towels, paper products and soap are not included. Also pets are not permitted during the rental period.

Our condo is professionally cleaned with one assigned parking space under the building located very close to the lobby and elevator.

Staying at Sea Colony gives you access to programs designed for the entire family. If the car is too full you can rent beach chairs and umbrellas on the beach. Sea Colony has walking and bike paths, a basketball gym, 2 fully equipped gyms with 1 on the ocean side. Since you are staying on the ocean side you have a choice of 5 pools, 3 kiddies pools, 1 indoor pool and hot tub or steam bath, including use of the other pools on the west side. The kids can roast marshmallows on the beach at night or enter the sandcastle contest along with the many other activities Sea Colony offers through out the summer. Baby sitting services are also available to give you a little alone time. The fitness center is open daily from 7 am to 9 pm it features an indoor pool, fully equipped work out gym with TV’s, aerobic classes, free weights, etc.

There are 3 charcoal grills on the ground floor for your use.

A CVS, Walgreens and a sea food restaurant are a short walk away. Also there are 2 convenience stores on the ocean side in the Sea Colony complex for your morning paper and coffee; one is located on the ground floor of our building.

There is a free tram service that operates through out the day providing you access to the full Sea Colony complex.

By checking the Sea Colony recreation web site you will be able to look at and decide what activity you want to pre register for before your stay with us.

On the boardwalk, which is ranked 3rd in American top 10 boardwalks listed by Forbes Traveler, you can listen to live weekly entertainment while eating your funnel cake, ice cream, or boardwalk fries. Bethany is a quiet family oriented town, besides its shops, and restaurants you will find a wonderful play ground and miniature golf in town for your children. Yes, you can walk or bike ride into town as it’s only a few blocks away from your condo.

• Sea Colony offers a variety of activities ranging from fitness centers, water aerobics, fitness classes, beach bonfires, Kiddie camps, tennis, or just laying on the beautiful beaches that are cleaned every night. Just take the elevator down and you are there.

You’ll find: Fishing, championship golf courses, 2 State Parks, kayaking and parasailing. There is tax free shopping with Tanger Outlets in Rehoboth just 20 minutes away. Visit historic Lewes, Delaware or Ocean City, Maryland with its boardwalk and amusements, just a half hour away.

The 2012 rental rates are from Saturday to Saturday.  Weekly rentals only with the rates shown in US dollars. There are no additional fees (i.e.) tax, booking, renter insurance, parking or cleaning fees. The pictures of the ocean were taken from the dining or living room.Also our condo is nonsmoking, pets are not permitted and occupancy is limited to 4 people.

                                    END OF 2012 RENTAL SEASON

Sea Colony charges a fee (ages 4 and up) to provide access to all indoor and outdoor facilities and activities.  From mid-June to late August the (2012 estimated) fee is $35 per person.  After the recreation badge(s) are purchased a parking permit is then issued.

A $200 security deposit is required and is held in a non interest account. The security deposit is returned after the condo keys are returned and the condo did not incur damage during the rental period.

When a reservation is made, a contract will be forwarded and is to be returned signed in 5  business days with a 50% deposit. The $200 security deposit and remaining 50% of the rental fee is due 35 days before the start of the rental period. The tenant must be at least 25 years old to sign the lease and be present at the condo during the rental period.

For reservations placed less than 36 days before the vacation week selected, the full rent amount plus security deposit is required. Payment due within 36 days would be by certified, cashers check or money order.
