Pet Friendly Just Like Home in Venice

Quiet, comfortable, smoke free, 2 bedroom, 2 bath home in the sunny SW Gulf coast of Florida in Venice. Each bedroom has a private bath. There is also a Florida room and an all season enclosed/screened sun room. Several beautiful beaches (including a dog beach and park) are minutes away. The back yard is privacy fenced and there is a single car garage with opener.

A contract, that protects both owner and renter, must be signed by all adult persons 18 and older occupying the property with the exception of guests. Guests are limited to a 2 week stay each. Pets must be approved by the owner and must be identified in the contract as to name, breed, color and weight. Quiet well-behaved pets only.

Renters will be responsible for the cost of removing stains, odors and/or flea or tick infestations caused by pets. We reserve the right to limit the number and size of the pets we will accept. Dogs must be vaccinated against rabies plus distemper, hepatitis, parvo, corona and leptospirosos within the last 3 years. They must arrive worm and flea free. They should be on heartworm medication before arriving in Florida.

Amenities include a complete kitchen with all cooking utensils, dishes, flatware, linens, microwave, stove, oven, refrigerator, coffeemaker, toaster, blender, other small appliances and a dishwasher. A separate dining area allows for formal or casual dining. The living area features leather setting, satellite TV, VCR and DVD with surround sound. A second TV is HD with a VCR and DVD player is in the master bedroom. A king size bed and two twin beds accommodate up to 4 persons. The sofa in the living room also folds out to make a queen bed. A futon in the sun room folds down to make a double bed for extra guests. All utilities are included. Electric usage is limited to $100 average per month. Electric usage rarely exceeds this amount because we have solar hot water. The telephone includes local and USA long distance service. Satellite TV is in living room and HD in master bedroom. Upgrades are available at actual cost. High speed wireless internet is included. You can use our desktop computer with printer/fax/copier and/or your own wireless laptop computer.

There is a washer, dryer, 5 ceiling fans and A/C.

Many sandy beaches are within 5 to 30 minutes drive and are great for swimming, sunning, walking, picnicking, drum circles, shark's teeth hunting and beautiful sunsets. Golfing, waterfront dining, camping, fishing, shopping, hiking and boating are favorite local activities. Disney/Orlando attractions are a 2.5 hour drive and Tampa attractions are about an hour drive. Sarasota culture and shopping are 15 to 30 minutes drive. For dog owners, a dog club in Bradenton and a private dog trainer in Venice offer agility, obedience, rally and flyball classes at all levels.

Winter Season:  Rental is a minimum of 2 months. A refundable deposit of $500 is required to secure the reservation. 50% of the total amount due must be paid at least 30 days before the beginning of the rental term. The balance of the total amount must be paid at check-in. There is an end of stay cleaning fee of $100. January through April 2012, $2200 per month.
