Wonderful Time on the Island

We had a wonderful time at the house. Equipped with everything we needed and more. The golf cart was fun to use to explore the island and transport all our stuff to and from the ferry and beach. The pool and yard area of the house was what we used the most. Our 3 year old had a great time exploring in the yard and swimming in the pool. We used the grill almost every night and enjoyed having meals out by the pool. We had a few normal issues we stumbled across but Julie and Austin were quick in answering our questions and needs. We will def stay again, as our first time on the island, Fish Tails and Flip Flops left a wonderful first impression. Thank you Julie and Austin!

Recommended for: age 55+, families with young children, pet-friendly, tourists without a car, romantic getaway

Fish Tales and Flip Flops was fantastic!

Well it is coming to the end of our month long stay at Fish Tales and Flip Flops and it has been amazing. We have enjoyed every minute here on Palm Island. This house is great for anyone. First the yard is completely fenced in so our furry family member, Andy, our dog, was able to join us for the first time. Which was nice for a change. The pool and downstairs area is wonderful. The pool is great and there are plenty of places to layout or just relax. There is a huge hammock perfect for an afternoon siesta. The dock is a great area to have morning coffee or just to sit and see manatee, which we saw a lot of. We also did a lot of fishing off the dock and caught a lot of different types of fish. My boys just loved it. Our favorite part of this house would have to be the fully private outdoor shower. That has been a big hit for all of us, especially my kids. They just couldn't get over being able to take a shower outside and it was perfect to get rinsed off after a day at the beach.
The inside of the house is comfy and cozy. It is nicely decorated in an old florida style. THe rooms are plenty big and the loft upstairs would be perfect for older children, teenagers, or just more company. I felt very at home in this house. It never felt like I was renting, but that I was staying at a friends house. Julie and Austin were very kind and very easy to get in touch with. They were always available to answer any questions I had about the house or the island. They are both very kind and easy to talk to. I hope that we are able to spend many more summers here and I am so thankful that they both have opened their home up to me and my family. Thank you so much for a wonderful, awesome, relaxing, and fun summer vacation for me and my family.

Recommended for: age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, pet-friendly, sight seeing, tourists without a car, romantic getaway
