vacation rental description
Lovely New Construction Bungalow Near Alberta Arts & Mississippi Ave.
With 3 spacious bedrooms and 2 and 1/2 baths, located in the heart of a vibrant close-in neighborhood, this house offers a range of options. There is plenty of room to bring the whole family, and there are numerous shops, restaurants, and cafes within a several block radius of the house. The well-known Alberta Arts district is about 10 blocks to the East, while hip Mississippi Ave. is about 8 blocks to the West. Or, if you prefer the downtown scene, then just hop over the Broadway Bridge which is just a few minutes to the south. In other words, the central location of this house makes it a breeze to get to some of the most popular spots in Portland.
There is a fully fenced patio on which children can play without concerns for security. We also have lots of childrens toys and books on hand.
The house also features a shed space with bike racks for secure and dry bike parking. We recommend and encourage the use of bicycles for transportation whenever possible. There is also a free-standing outdoor fire pit that may be used on the patio.
Available during Thanksgiving and Christmas/New Years.
I am frequently asked how I went about remodeling this house. I find such a question encouraging, because the truth of the matter is that this house was just built in 2008. We apparently succeeded in reproducing that charming vintage craftsman look in a house that still offers all of the benefits of new construction. This means that you get to enjoy the classy look of historical architecture while also enjoying the comfort and efficiency of contemporary building equipment.
Note: This home was featured in Portland's 2008 Build It Green Tour of Homes because of its numerous green features, which include reclaimed wood, recycled glass/concrete counters, recycled concrete roofing, high efficiency furnace, tankless water heater, and Earth Advantage certification.
