Jalama Road is the 14 mile windy road that meanders past checkered
fields and golden valleys through the oak-dotted hills of the Santa
Ynez Mountains ... reminiscent of California back in the early part of
the 20th century. The road leads into Jalama Beach, a beach of great
beauty and solitude, known for its world famous surfing spot,
Tarantula Point and "The Ranch". Our cottage sits on mile 2 in the
middle of a butterbean field on our 100 year old cattle ranch and
butterbean farm only 15 minutes from Jalama Beach. The ranch has been
featured in the movie "Grindhouse" by Quentin Tarantino and the Daniel
Day-Lewis Movie, "There Will Be Blood".
Charmingly decorated, fully furnished, 3 bedroom on 250 acre ranch,
sleeps 3-6, striking views and quiet surroundings. Wi-fi internet &
satellite tv, clean, wood floors in bedrooms. Perfect retreat for
quiet souls who want to be near Jalama Beach. No loud partying please.
