This was my second stay at the Jay Peak Cabin, and it was just as enjoyable as the first. I have stayed at a number of places in the area until I found this cabin a couple years back. Now, it is the first place I look to rent when visiting. I should be writing a bad review so it is available more during the season! Justin, the owner, is always a pleasure to work with (and makes amazing homebrewed maple syrup that is available to buy in the cabin). I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Justin and his rental unit and hope to have many, many, many more stays with him. Possibly even another this season! Thanks, Justin!!

Just as lovely as the photos suggest

My wife and I stayed here for four nights in January to ski Jay Peak, and we really enjoyed our stay. Booking by e-mail was no problem, Justin always responded promptly to all my queries, and he was able to arrange slightly discounted lift tickets, which were waiting for us in the cabin upon arrival. Finding the place was no problem, and although it is located on one of the more major roads in the area, the cabin is set back enough into the woods that traffic noise is simply not a problem – it was wonderfully peaceful inside. The heating worked really well: it was set to a base level of just over 60 F when we arrived, was freely adjustable by thermostat, and reached a comfortable 70 F in no time (though there was no floor heating, so thick socks or slippers would come in handy in winter). The whole place was very clean and in good condition, the kitchen was fully equipped with all necessary appliances in good working order, and some basic ingredients (condiments, olive oil, some pasta, ...) were already there. The bed upstairs was really comfortable, as was the sofa, and generally the cabin felt very cozy and comfortable. Exactly what you want to come home to if you've been out skiing all day! It's also very close to the Jay Peak Resort, where there is ample free parking, so driving over to the skiing area every day was no problem at all (though there is a steep hill on the way, and having only a two-wheel-drive car, I needed snow chains to get back up it after a day of snow-fall). In short, we had a thoroughly enjoyable time and can only recommend the place.

Wonderful Vacation

Our family of four, two adults and two teenagers, had a wonderful vacation at Jay Peak Cabin. The cabin is exactly as represented, great location (minutes to Jay Peak Resort), well supplied, very clean and comfortable. We would highly recommend the place and hope to use it again. Justin was very easy to work with and helpful. We had lots of fresh snow and were pleasantly surprised when we woke the morning after a foot of snow fell to find the driveway already plowed! We had a great time skiing and snowshoeing at Jay Peak Resort, relaxing in the cabin, and taking day trips to Burlington and Canada.
Thanks for providing the snowshoes, we had a blast!
