Areca Peter Bay is a 5 bedroom 5.5 bath ocean view villa with access to private Peter Bay beach.

Located on St John, US Virgin Islands in the exclusive gated community of Upper Peter Bay, the villa is named after the areca palm because its seeds were traditionally thought to produce a calming effect. But you won't have to risk any traditional remedies for stress while staying at this ultra-private, exceptionally beautiful property.

The villa is bordered by VI National Park between famous Trunk and Cinnamon Bay beaches and offers better than 180 degree views of the Caribbean from St Thomas to the British Virgin Islands and the many small cays in between.

Guest can lounge in the infinity-edge pool with in-pool lounging bench and watch the sailboat and yacht traffic and the ever-changing wave and color patterns play across Johnson's Reef. The oversized pool pavillion offers areas of full and partial shade. All exterior and interior spaces are tiled in marble Travertine, and the main house (3 en suite king bedrooms) and guest house (2 en suite king bedrooms) are arranged around the pool pavillion. Native stone and sea shell planters with lush tropical vegetation give the entire complex a courtyard feel. A very long, gated and landscaped drive separates this property, which is over 1 acre, from the private Peter Bay Estate road. Areca Peter Bay offers a uniquely private setting thoughtfully designed for relaxation.

A covered wrap-around balcony ranges from 6 to 14 feet deep and provides many private spaces as well as group gathering places. The outside covered dining area seats 10 and has a buffet, wet bar, drink refrigerator and ice maker. Indoor dining is air conditioned, as are all interior spaces, and offers both garden and ocean views.

The interior is finely furnished and decorated with a TV lounge with large HD TV, a living room that opens onto the wrap-around balcony, custom mahogany kitchen. Four of the 5 en suite king bedrooms have private balconies, and two have covered open air showers. All showers are marble tiled. The master bedroom is oversized with two reading areas and a jetted spa tub in the master bath.
