Great for Families or Groups

The unit was clean and spacious and decorated nicely. We had 4 kids ages 2-9 with us and had plenty of room. There were even toys for them in a closet. The owners were great to work with when we arrived a few days earlier than planned.

This is a second story unit so not good for crawling babies as there is no gate at the top of the stairs. Loved the proximity to the pool and the golf cart rental was big enough for all of us. If you are planning on going to the lagoons a lot, I would drive it or rent the golf cart.

We were close to the Paradise Cove luau and the Marriott resort and were able to go to a character breakfast that was more fun than any at Disney World.

Ko'olina itself is removed from the rest of the island and is nice for relaxing and being away from the city noise and bustle. You have to be okay with driving a bit to other activities.

Recommended for: families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway

Owners response: Thank you so much for the review. There actually is a removable gate in the unit for the top of the stairs. So sorry, if you were not aware.

Best Family vacation ever!!!

We stayed at this condo for 15 nights in November/December 2011, and absolutley loved it. The condo had everything we needed and more, and we can hardly wait to go back again. There were 4 adults and 2 kids ages 3 and 5, and the layout was so fantastic that we never felt like we were tripping over each other. The pool (which is less than half a block away) is the best one we saw at Ko Olina mostly because Kai has the very best lounge chairs and a great kids side. We used the BBQ's at the pool a few times also. We walked to Lagoon number's 1 or 2 every morning, which took about 10 minutes at our 3 year old's pace!!! Safeway and Costco are a 7 minute drive down the highway, but the store in Ko Olina has lots of food and novelty items which are priced the same as in town. We are trying to plan our next trip already and hope to make it a month next time.

Recommended for: age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway

Perfect for Family Vacation or just relaxation!

Kathy the Owner and Jodi the property manager were both great from the start. The pictures on the web do not do it justice. The rooms are very spacious and it seemed very large. Everything was very very clean, which is very important to us. The master bedroom being at the opposite end of the condo was great as well. Everything outside is well maintained as well. From the pool all the way down to the lagoons. And on the Island of Oahu the lagoons is some of the best snorkeling you will find, they even have Sea Turtles in the lagoons. The only person I would not recommend this to is someone that can not climb stairs as this is on the second level. The staircase is an inside staircase with good rails to hold onto. Next time we go back to Oahu we will stay there if it is open.

Recommended for: adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sight seeing, romantic getaway
