Playa Viva is located right on the beach. We have 1.3 km (almost a mile) of pristine beach front. We have 200 acres of a private reserve for you to enjoy for hiking, biking, running, etc. which include an archeological site, estuary, beach front, turtle sanctuary and more. We offer daily yoga classes, all meals included with your stay, airport transportation, free beer, internet and local and long-distance calls. We offer excursions and additional classes on site.

Playa Viva operates off-grid, so all energy is created by the sun, yet you have all the modern conveniences available to you. Luxury and sustainability coexist at Playa Viva.

Accommodations

Playa Viva is currently opening with five premium rooms. Accommodation types are (number of each room type in parenthesis):

Private Suite (1) -- This is your most private suite. It is a one bedroom Casita with a King Bed and a trundle bed for two children. Room has unobstructed beach view and private bath on same level. Sleeps 2 adults AND two children comfortably.

Deluxe Suites (2) -- These rooms are similar to the Private Suite but are both located in the Four Bedroom Casita. Both Deluxe Suites are separated by a large patio, have unobstructed ocean view and private bath on the same level. Sleeps 2 adults AND two children comfortably.

Studios (2) -- These rooms are separate but adjacent to the Deluxe Suites. They have two single beds that can be combined into a King bed, they have unobstructed ocean view and bathroom located on lower level. Sleeps 2 adults OR two children comfortably.

Deluxe Suites and Studios can be combined to create a Double Suite, excellent for large families traveling together. Additionally, both Deluxe Suites and Studios can be combined together and you can rent the entire Four Bedroom Casita.

Rate Details

Rooms at Playa Viva can be rented by the night except on major holidays when they must be rented for the entire week (Sat to Sat). Rates are based on Low, High or Holiday Season.

Seasons: Low Season runs from early June to Oct. High Season runs from early November to late May. Holiday Season applies to Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, Easter and the week prior to Easter. Holiday rentals must be for a minimum of one week and be Saturday to Saturday.

Note: When using online reservation system, you must book reservations for each season separately or system may show no availability. For example if you attempt to reserve Easter week starting the Friday before the holiday the system will return “no availability” when in actually there is availability but for two separate reservations, one for the Friday before the holiday and the other for Sat to Sat of the holiday. We recommend using the Availability Calendar to see a matrix of available rooms by date to confirm availability.

^All Inclusive: Rates are all inclusive of the following: ground transportation to and from airport, room, breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks, beverages including beer and organic tequila, and morning yoga class (per instructor availability). Not included are your airfare and incidental charges for purchases at boutique, massages or other services, plus any premium wines or alcohol purchased. Rates do NOT include the 15% VAT Tax or 3% Room Tax (Federal and State taxes).

*Double Suite is based on rental of adjoining Deluxe Suite and Studio.
**4 Bedroom Casita is rental of both Deluxe Suites and adjoining Studios.

Each additional adult is charged $80/$100/$125 per day rate based on Low/High/Holiday season respectively.

All toddlers are invited at no additional fee when accompanied by an adult.

15% VAT Tax plus 3% Room Tax is added to your rate.

Deposit and Payments

Playa Viva requires a 20% non-refundable deposit in advance to reserve your room. Balance is due 30 days prior to arrival. We will contact you 1 week prior to arrival to obtain flight information as well as other detailed information about your stay.

Payment is made online using a major credit card when booking your reservation. Payment can be made via check or bank transfer, however reservations can only be confirmed upon receipt of payment and only if rooms are available in inventory at time of receipt of payment. It is recommended to make deposit via credit card to confirm your reservation and make balance payment via check or transfer.
