Sonny's Place in St George Island

Spacious, immaculate 3BR/2-1/2 bath home across from beach.  This home has a large living room with hardwood floors, a separate den, and a great room which has the kitchen, dining room and a sun porch.  Two of the bedrooms have hardwood floors.  The master suite has carpet.  The bedrooms are spacious, and one of the bedrooms has 2 double beds.  The other two bedrooms each have a queen bed.  It comfortably sleeps 8 people on the beds.  There is a queen sofa and a loveseat in the den.  The living room has a queen sofa and a number of chairs, and the sun porch has a sofa and chairs. The kitchen was renovateded March 2013 with new dishwasher, counter tops, cabinets and paint.  The picture shown is not updated yet.  Everything is very clean and comfortable.  The living room and two of the bedroom walls are beautiful solid heart pine wood.

There is a large deck facing the beach with lounge chairs. The paved bike path is right out the back door.  Downstairs there is a nice park grill and picnic table, and also chairs and a large swing.  There is an enclosed shower with hot and cold water conveniently located by the downstairs bathroom.  This is a great feature, especially with children.  There is a double fish cleaning sink on the east side of the house.  We own the adjoining lot which is vacant so you have plenty of privacy.

We are eight blocks down from the entrance to the island, and this puts you located near all restaurants and shopping.  The beautiful St. George Island State Park is only about three miles from us.

Fine dining, especially fabulous local seafood, is readily available on the island and just over the bridge in historic Apalachicola.  Local pubs offer friendly atmosphere, good food, and live entertainment amongst welcoming islanders. Many rental facilities on the island include bicycles, scooters, jet skies, kayaks, guided boat trips and much more.  Quaint shopping opportunities allow for browsing both on the island and just off the island. For the nature lovers, a visit to the St. George Island State Park at the eastern end of the island is a must.  When you first arrive on the island, you will see the lighthouse that once belonged on Little St. George and has now been beautifully restored.  It is open for tours.  There is also a children's beach playground and a basketball court that is all open to the public.

Rates include taxes, fees, cleaning, and linens.

Low season (winter): $850/week or $125/night

Mid-season (spring & fall):  $950/week or $140/night

High season (summer):  $1160/week or $170/night

Owner discounts available during the year.

Three night minimum in low and mid-seasons.

A security deposit of $300 is required.
