Farmhouse on Cove - Kayaks - Internet in Deer Isle/Little Deer Isle

This is a typical wooden New England farmhouse. It is set in over
5 acres of meadow and has a 400 foot quiet wooded cove (Crocket Cove)
that empties out to the open ocean. It is set about 3 miles from
the villages of Stonington or Deer Isle. There are 2 large double
bedrooms and a single bedroom upstairs, and a sofabed downstairs if
required. The kitchen is large with the standard facilities.
There is a deck for relaxing on and watching the sunset.
The house is located off the 15A scenic Island route, set back about
300 feet from the water providing long views of the cove.
Well behaved pets are welcome. Free internet access and national
phone calls.

Deer Isle is about 90 minutes drive from Bangor International
airport connected to the mainland by a suspension bridge. The house
is 3 miles or so from the small town of Stonington, which has many
varied shops and a supermarket.

The island Country Club is within walking distance, where tennis and
golf are available to the public. The cove is fun for children
especially if they like watersports. The house has 2 kayaks for you
to use in the cove at your own risk. Personal floatation devices
(life-jackets) are not provided and may be individually fitted &
hired on the Island.
Bikes can also be rented for on or off road cycling.
The island sea-food is possibly the best in the USA with Maine
lobster being the best known food. There are numerous small islands,
some only 30 yards across, with their own sandy beaches. These are
fun to row to for a picnic. Bird watching ( there is an eagle
sanctury nearby ) and fishing the cove is excellent.
