vacation rental description

Treetops is a unique and magical property perfect for groups of
friends, colleagues or family. Treetops was originally built in 1910 as a tea house for ladies, and sits on the top of its own hill in Provincetown's East
End, surrounded by private gardens, with breath-taking views of
Provincetown Harbor.

Treetops still retains the Arts and Crafts characteristics of its original use, including a large central Great Room with beamed cathedral ceiling, working fireplace, and a wrap-around interior balcony. Off of the Great Room is a 40 ft long glass-enclosed porch with views of the harbor.  On the second floor off the balcony is a second living room loft with amazing harbor views, from which you can step onto a deck with some of the best views in town.

There are four bedrooms; three with queen beds and one with double,
a sleeping loft and 1/2 bath off the second floor balcony, and a
sleep sofa in the library/TV room.  The large kitchen is well stocked for cooks and dinner parties, and you have a choice of two dining locations;with large tables either in the Great Room or on the enclosed front porch.

The property is surrounded by wooded conservation land and includes a beautiful private garden and grape pergola with garden furniture and BBQ
grille. The grounds include an outside shower for post beach rinse-off. Access to the harbor beach is directly down the driveway and across Commercial Street - a 1 minute walk. The gallery district begins two blocks away, and the heart of Provincetown is a fifteen minute walk.

Treetops is tastefully and comfortably furnished, including period antiques and Provincetown art. Email for Brochure. Treetops occupies the top two floors of a small complex and has many loyal renters, some for over 15 years.  Come see why!

Best. Rental. Ever.

From the minute we arrived at Treetops we knew we had stumbled upon a truly amazing place. With the high energy of Provincetown in peak season just at the bottom of the drive, Treetops felt worlds away. The house is lovely - relaxed and elegant at the same time. Every room was comfortable and inviting, the kitchen better appointed than my own. Each of our party had their own favorite spot - the roof deck, the sunporch, the outdoor shower, and the upstairs loft.

The description of the house does not begin to describe how nice this place is. Eric was amazing - the house was spotless, the yard and garden perfectly maintained. While all of the bedrooms are small, the house is so large, with lots of space to spread out, it never became an issue. I get the feeling that many of the rooms had been freshly painted and the yard had been recently relandscaped.

We spent more time at the house then we planned, somehow breakfast on the porch turned into a morning on the roof deck. Cocktails stretched on into the night and the lure of Commercial street grew less each day. Our friends who brought kayaks with them only had to head down the driveway and walk a tiny bit to launch.

We found the house to be a bit farther from the center of the town than we expected, that really stopped being an issue about 15 minutes after we arrived.I would love to recommend this place to friends, but I am afraid I will be competing with them to get time there. We hope to return to Treetops many times in the coming years.

I strongly recommend this property.

Girls' get-awy weekend

Nancy (Naples, FL)
Review submitted: February 19, 2011   Date of arrival: September 17, 2010

Having searched for just the right fit for a “girls’ weekend get-away,” we fell in love with what we saw through Treetops’ website. We booked a long weekend in late September, packed our bags and off we went to discover Provincetown and surround. The location of Treetops was perfect, just a leisurely stroll to the galleries and shops on Commercial Street and just steps to the beach. The views were spectacular from just about every room, especially from the second floor loft and outside deck with striking views of the wharf, village and Pilgrim Monument in the distance. The décor was Cape-comfortable with an enclosed porch that has sweeping water views, bedrooms with the most comfortable beds, a wood-burning stove in the center of the great room that takes the chill out of the day, and a kitchen large enough to allow for many cooks to “stir the pot!” My friends love to cook and the kitchen was well dressed with all that was needed. After walking the dunes, shopping for souvenirs or swimming in one of the beautiful National Seashore beaches, the best part of Treetops was relaxing at our rental and reliving our day sipping wine while we watched yet another gorgeous sunset! Needless to say our get-away was a HUGE success and we can’t wait to return to Treetops. Thank you!
